El video de YORDANO “DESPUÉS DE TODO” triunfa en el Festival de Cine Indie de Berlín
La pieza audiovisual Después De Todo, sencillo del álbum más reciente del ídolo venezolano, competirá próximamente en Premio Lo Nuestro 2021
MIAMI (11 de febrero de 2021) – El videoclip de“Después De Todo”, sencillo del álbum homónimo del cantante y compositor Yordano Di Marzo, obtuvo el premio a Mejor Video Musical en el Berlin Indie Film Festival, uno de los certámenes que celebran en Alemania lo mejor de la producción cinematográfica independiente.
La pieza audiovisual, obra de la dupla de realizadores venezolanos Isaac Bencid y Mauricio Rodríguez y la productora Fénix Media, contó con la participación de Cheo Pardo, productor del álbum y líder de Los Crema Paraíso, y de Yuri Bastidas, esposa y mánager de Yordano.
“Después De Todo”, video que procuró reflejar en cuatro minutos y medio el alivio del artista tras recuperarse de un cáncer que puso su vida en puntos suspensivos, competirá el próximo 18 de febrero en Premio Lo Nuestro, que serán transmitidos desde Miami. Allí figura en la categoría “Mejor Video”. También es finalista en los New York Movie Awards y fue seleccionado como parte del festival Lift-Off Sessions de los Pinewood Studios de Inglaterra.
El videoclip, grabado en Manhattan, fue producido Rafael Rodríguez y Rafa Urbina, con dirección de fotografía de Fernando Reyes, edición de Alberto Chumaceiro y maquillaje de Florángel Azpúrua.
Bencid y Rodríguez han colaborado con Yordano desde 2014, precisamente el año en el que la vida le dio un vuelco al autor de “Manantial de corazón”. Fue el año del diagnóstico del síndrome mielodisplásico que lo puso al puso al borde de la muerte. El año de una serie de conciertos en Caracas que sonaron a despedida. Y el año en que se mudó a Nueva York para someterse a un trasplante y un complejo tratamiento. Para ambos realizadores, haber estado cerca de Yuri y Yordano durante su difícil proceso curativo enriqueció la pieza.
“Este video es una historia real, que se vivió y que se ve plasmada en la obra” dijo Isaac Bencid. “Que ahora esté siendo reconocido en festivales, y que se le esté dando tal vitrina para proyectarse, para nosotros ha sido una sorpresa muy positiva porque nos dice que la historia de Yordano y Yuri se entiende y cala en el público”.
Mauricio Rodríguez comentó que ellos buscaron dejar de lado la nostalgia y la tristeza y subrayar la felicidad después de la tormenta. “Es una celebración de la vida. Es celebrar el estar enamorados y seguir dando vueltas en el carrusel. Es el momento justo en que el fantasma de lo malo pasó y comenzó la fiesta de lo bueno”.
Después De Todo, álbum que le valió su tercera nominación a los Latin GRAMMY®, es el número 18 en la carrera de Yordano Di Marzo y representa la dulzura de un nuevo comienzo en su vida. Canciones “Manantial de Corazón”, “Locos de Amor”, “Aquel Lugar Secreto” y “Días de Junio”, que siguen incrustadas en la memoria colectiva, son hitos en una carrera de 40 años y muchas ovaciones de uno de los más grandes creadores de la música latinoamericana.

MIAMI (February 11, 2021) – The music video “Después De Todo” (After All), the title track of the latest album on Sony Music Latin by the singer-songwriter Yordano Di Marzo, has been awarded Best Music Video at the Berlin Indie Film Festival, the prestigious German event that celebrates independent cinema.
Filmed in Manhattan by the Venezuelan directors Isaac Bencid and Mauricio Rodríguez for the production company Fénix Media, it includes appearances by Cheo Pardo, the album’s producer and frontman of Los Crema Paraíso; and Yuri Bastidas, Yordano’s wife and manager.
Produced by Rafael Rodríguez and Rafa Urbina, this video features photography direction by Fernando Reyes, editing by Alberto Chumaceiro and makeup by Florángel Azpúrua.
This four-and-a-half minute video reflects the relief that the artist is feeling after recovering from a bout with cancer that put his life in peril. It is also nominated for Video of the Year at Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro, which will be broadcast live on February 18 from Miami. It is also a finalist in the New York Movie Awards and has been named a selection at the Lift-Off Sessions Festival at Pinewood Studios in England.
Bencid and Rodríguez have worked with Yordano since 2014, the year that the artist, known for such hits as “Manantial de Corazón” (Wellspring of the Heart), had his life turned upside-down by a diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndrome, from which he nearly died. During 2014 he performed a series of concerts in Caracas that felt like a final farewell. Later that year, he moved to New York City to undergo a transplant and complex treatments. For the video directors, spending ample time with Yuri and Yordano during this difficult process of recovery enriched their work.
As Bencid puts it: “This video is a true story, which he went through and is apparent in the imagery. The fact that it’s now being recognized in festivals and is getting showcases and exposure, is a very positive surprise for us because it tells us that the story of Yordano and Yuri is understood and empathized with by the audience.”
Mauricio Rodríguez adds that the team wanted to set aside feelings of nostalgia and sadness, while emphasizing the happiness after the storm: “It’s a celebration of life. It’s celebrating being in love and staying on the merry-go-round. It’s the moment when the specter of the bad has passed, and we can start celebrating the good.”
Después De Todo is Yordano Di Marzo’s 18th studio album and earned him his third Latin GRAMMY® nomination. Its theme is about how sweet it is to have a new start in life. Throughout his 40-year career, he has delighted Spanish-speaking fans with such romantic gems as “Manantial de Corazón,” “Locos de Amor” (Crazy in Love), “Aquel Lugar Secreto” (That Secret Place), and “Días de Junio” (Days of June) which audiences know by heart and have applauded in honor of one of Latin American music’s great creators.
