GUITARRICADELAFUENTE lanza su primer álbum, LA CANTERA
MIAMI (6 de mayo de 2022) – Guitarricadelafuente estrena su primer álbum, La Cantera, un trabajo en el que se puede encontrar la esencia pura de un artista especial. Poseedor de un talento peculiar y seductor, su extrema originalidad le convierte en uno de los talentos más prometedores del momento. La Cantera así lo certifica.
Del nuevo álbum se han podido degustar maravillas como “Mil y una noches”, “Vidalita del mar” y “Quién encendió la luz” —su mascarón de proa—, una serie de avances que ahora completa con “A Carta Cabal”. El nuevo sencillo, es un tema tan enigmático como su videoclip, pero sobre todo absolutamente Guitarrica, una singularidad extraordinaria en un músico de su juventud.
La Cantera es un trabajo que entronca con sus raíces, con ese “Ahí viene la cantera” con que saludaban a los jóvenes los mayores de su pueblo, Cuevas de Cañart, en el Maestrazgo turolense. “La Cantera representa el relevo de la juventud en cada generación, Como una chispa que siempre has llevado dentro y prende para quedarse viva, como un relato sobre los muchachos que abrazan su origen y se enorgullecen de él”, explica Álvaro Lafuente, el artista detrás de Guitarrica.
En ese destino idílico en el que reposan los buenos recuerdos, el lugar al que la cantera siempre quiere volver, él recrea un mundo en el que la juventud inconformista se enfrenta metafóricamente a una sociedad corrompida por los adultos. Es la reinvención de un lugar mítico que aborda de la mano de Raül Refree, uno de los grandes productores del momento. Juntos descubrieron las enormes posibilidades de unas canciones que exploran caminos distintos, pero sin perder jamás el vínculo con la tradición tal y como la entiende el artista.
El resultado sorprende al propio Álvaro: “Es como haber llegado a un punto al que quería dirigirme para comprobar lo que quería hacer, y no puedo negar que me asombra hasta a mí”.
La personalidad artística de Guitarrica se ha ido forjando paso a paso, canción a canción, progresivamente arrimando una producción avanzada a partir del sonido clásico de su guitarra.
Con el estreno del álbum, el 27 de mayo arranca la gira de La Cantera, que cuenta ya con 17 actuaciones es su país natal.

MIAMI (May 6th, 2022) – Guitarricadelafuente unveils his debut album, La Cantera –a work that displays the pure essence of a unique artist. Blessed with an unusual and seductive charm, his sheer originality makes him one of the most promising Spanish talents, as evidenced by his first studio effort, La Cantera.
The new album features gems such as “Mil y una noches”, “ Vidalita del mar” and “Quién encendió la luz”—the album’s flagship song—, a series of advance singles that he rounds off today with “A Carta Cabal”. The new single, is a song as enigmatic as its music video, which undoubtedly has the stamp of this extraordinary young artist.
La Cantera is a work that goes back to Guitarrica’s roots, to the “Here comes the young blood” that the elders of his village, Cuevas de Cañart, greeted the youngsters with. “La cantera represents the generational turnover, like a spark you’ve always carried inside you and it burns to stay alive, as a story about boys who embrace their origin and take pride in it”, Álvaro Lafuente explains, A.K.A. Guitarrica.
In that idyllic destination where good memories lie, the place to which the young blood always wants to return, he recreates a world where non-conformist youth metaphorically confronts a society corrupted by adults. It is the reinvention of a mythical place that he approaches with the help of Raül Refree, one of the greatest Spanish producers today. Together they discovered the infinite potential of songs that explore different paths, but without ever losing the bond with tradition as the artist understands it.
The result is surprising even to Álvaro himself: “It’s like having reached a point I wanted to go to in order to check whether I could get there, and I can’t deny that I am amazed by the result.”
The artistic personality of Guitarrica has been forged step by step, song by song, progressively adding a sophisticated production to the classic sound of his guitar.
Along the release of the album, La Cantera Tour kicks off on May 27th, with 17 confirmed dates in Spain.
