IR SAIS Nos Transporta A Su Hermosa Isla Natal De Bonaire Con Su Nuevo Sencillo y Video “CHIKITA MALA”
MIAMI (10 de marzo de 2022) – El cantautor y productor Ir Sais nos transporta a su isla natal de Bonaire en el video musical de su nueva canción “Chikita Mala”. Este sencillo y video se encuentran disponibles hoy en todas las plataformas de música digital.
El famoso creador de “Dream Girl”, que cuenta con más de mil millones de streams de audio y video, y certificación de ocho veces Platino en Estados Unidos, nos deleita con su cautivante voz, al igual que su cálida mezcla de idiomas y ritmos del Caribe.
Ir Sais, quien funge como autor y productor de “Chikita Mala”, asegura que esta canción provocará muchos acercamientos en la pista de baile: “‘Chikita Mala’ es la historia de un hombre joven que se enamora de la chica equivocada que podría ser no aceptada por tu familia ni tus amigos y tendrá que luchar por su lugar a tu lado, aunque ya tenga tu corazón. Yo realicé ‘Chikita Mala’ como fusión de mi género zouk y kizomba con un ritmo urbano actualizado que te pondrá a bailar desde la primera nota y te motivará a buscar la ‘Chikita Mala’ de la disco”.
La letra es toda una invitación de mover los pies y el cuerpo: “Ahora mami prende la candela, este ritmo pega como ‘Macarena’”.
Filmado en Kralendijk, Bonaire, y dirigido por el mismo Ir Sais con David Martinus, el video musical retrata una historia que empieza con una mirada sostenida entre dos jóvenes atractivos en el marco de un muelle de madera y un barquito de pesca. Podemos apreciar la belleza natural y los cielos azules por los cuales Bonaire se distingue.
“Chikita Mala” sigue los pasos de su sencillo anterior “Baila Kumi” junto al joven cantante colombiano Manuel Turizo que cuenta con más de cuatro millones de reproducciones en YouTube y la nueva canción “Validé” con Walshy Fire y Tribal Kush.

Acerca de Ir Sais
Ir Sais es el nombre artístico de Irgwin Placido Sluis, quien nació en la isla de Bonaire que forma parte de las Antillas Neerlandesas. Su padre falleció cuando Irgwin apenas tenía un año. A los 11 años, empezó a tocar batería con latas de aluminio. Con una formación musical íntegramente autodidacta, Ir Sais ahora domina muchos instrumentos al igual que la producción. Después de probar el éxito con varias bandas populares de Bonaire, se fue a radicar en Holanda en el 2008, emprendiendo una exitosa carrera en solitario donde mezcla el pop con el ritmo caribeño de zouk. En el 2018, su canción “Dream Girl” fue descubierta por el remixer francés Djly Prod, quien la compartió con sus seguidores, ayudándole a que se volviera viral en conjunto con el #DreamGirlChallenge que dio aún más impulso no solamente a la canción sino también a la plataforma TikTok que en ese entonces era relativamente desconocida. “Dream Girl Remix” llegó en diciembre 2019 junto al renombrado cantante puertorriqueño Rauw Alejandro, y su video musical ha superado los 289 millones de vistas. En 2020, el ícono jamaiquino Sean Paul y la estrella nigeriana de Afrobeats Davido también se sumaron a “Dream Girl (Global Remix).” Ir Sais grabó esta canción y mucho de su material en el idioma Papiamentu, el lenguaje de Bonaire que tiene raíces en el portugués, el español, y el holandés al igual que idiomas africanos.
IR SAIS Transports Us To His Caribbean Island Of Bonaire With His New Single & Music Video “CHIKITA MALA”
MIAMI (March 10, 2022) – Singer-songwriter and producer Ir Sais whisks us away to his gorgeous Caribbean Island of Bonaire in the music video of his new song “Chikita Mala.” This single and video are now available on all digital streaming platforms.
The famous creator of “Dream Girl,” which has earned more than a billion streams and 8x Platinum certification from the RIAA, delights us with his captivating voice as well as his beguiling mix of Caribbean languages and rhythms.
Ir Sais, who is the sole composer and producer of “Chikita Mala,” points out that this song will bring people together on the dancefloor: “‘Chikita Mala’ is the story of a young man falling in love with the wrong girl. The ‘Chikita Mala’ will not be liked by your family and friends, and will have to fight for her place by your side although she already has your heart. I created ‘Chikita Mala’ as a fusion of my genre Zouk and Kizomba, adding in a current urban rhythm to make you want to dance from the first note, and look for the Chikita Mala in the club.”
The lyrics are an unabashed invitation to move our feet and body: “Ahora mami prende la candela, este ritmo pega como ‘Macarena.’” (Now, mami, light the candle. This rhythm hits like “Macarena.”)
Filmed in Kralendijk, Bonaire, and directed by Ir Sais himself with David Martinus, the music video tells a story that begins with a meaningful gaze between two attractive young adults in the setting of a small fishing boat and a wooden dock. About Ir Sais
Ir Sais is the artistic moniker of Irgwin Placido Sluis, born on the Caribbean island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles. His father died when Irgwin was just 1 year old. At 11, he began playing drums on tin cans. Completely self-taught, Ir Sais now masters several instruments as well as the production side. After getting his first taste of success with local Bonaire bands, he moved to the Netherlands in 2008, launching a solo career with original material that fuses pop with the Caribbean zouk rhythm. In 2018, his song “Dream Girl” caught the attention of the French remixer Djly Prod, who helped the song go viral and led to the #DreamGirlChallenge that drew massive attention to both the song and the still relatively unknown platform TikTok. “Dream Girl Remix,” featuring the Puerto Rican sensation Rauw Alejandro, dropped in December 2019, and has surpassed 289 million views on YouTube. In 2020, Jamaican icon Sean Paul and Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido also hopped on the “Dream Girl (Global Remix).” Ir Sais recorded this song and much of his material in Papiamento, the language of Bonaire with roots in Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch and African languages.
