Este lanzamiento, se une a los recién estrenados lyric videos de sus éxitos “Amor Eterno” y “Querida”. Su animación da vida a las conmovedoras letras que millones de personas se saben de memoria: “Y muy tarde comprendí, que no te debí amar jamás, porque ahora pienso en ti mucho más que ayer, pero mucho más”.
Inspirada del gran dolor que le causó la ausencia y rechazo que sintió de su madre durante su infancia, “Hasta Que Te Conocí” es una balada característica de la obra de Juan Gabriel (1950-2016), quien nació como Alberto Aguilera Valadez y es conocido cariñosamente como El Divo de Juárez. Originalmente lanzada como parte de su disco Pensamientos (1986), esta fue uno de los 5 sencillos de este álbum que se posicionaron en el chart semanal Hot Latin Songs de Billboard.

The Estate of Juan Gabriel, in conjunction with Sony Music Mexico, are proud to release a new lyric video of one of the most moving songs ever recorded in the Spanish language, as preparations build for the 50th-anniversary celebration of his recording career in August.
This latest video release joins other recent official lyric videos for his chart-toppers “Amor Eterno” and “Querida”. Its animation brings to life the poignant lyrics that millions know by heart: “Y muy tarde comprendí, que no te debí amar jamás, porque ahora pienso en ti mucho más que ayer, pero mucho más” (“Far too late I realized that I never should have loved you, because now I think of you much more than yesterday, so much more”.)
Inspired by the trauma caused by the absence and rejection he felt from his mother during his formative years, “Hasta Que Te Conocí” is a signature ballad from the body of work of Juan Gabriel (1950-2016), who was born Alberto Aguilera Valadez and is affectionately known as El Divo de Juárez. Originally released on his album Pensamientos (Thoughts, 1986), it was one of five singles from the LP that appeared on Billboard’s weekly Hot Latin Songschart, which was first published the same year.
Pensamientos also went Triple Platinum + Gold in Mexico and was supported by a 40-night sold-out residency at Mexico City’s intimate concert venue El Patio.
The popularity of “Hasta Que Te Conocí” was the inspiration for thetitle and theme song of his 2016 authorized biographical scripted series that aired on TNT Latin America.
