MIAMI (4 de marzo de 2022) – La cantante, compositora y rapera colombiana Gloria “Goyo” Martinez, del trío ganador del Latin GRAMMY® y nominado al GRAMMY® ChocQuibTown lanza su carrera solista con la serie documental ganadora del Latin GRAMMY® En Letra De Otro de HBO, que estará disponible a través de HBO Max y un álbum del mismo nombre. “Na Na Na” combina el ritmo del dembow caribeño con arreglos que nos transportan a la discoteca, así como los juegos de palabras de Goyo, mientras ella canta la empoderada letra de una mujer que está dispuesta de alejarse de una relación que no se centra en el amor fiel. Filmado en Miami por Kree8 Productions, el video musical le otorga a Goyo su muy anticipada oportunidad para demostrar su carisma, energía y glamur como punto central de la propuesta visual.
Producido por Sony Music Latin y Kree8 bajo la dirección de Simon Brand, el especial de HBO presenta a Goyo como la primera mujer en protagonizar un capítulo de la serie de HBO En Letra De Otro interpretando sus canciones favoritas como “Oye Cómo Va” de Tito Puente, “Antología” de Shakira, y “Summertime” de Ella Fitzgerald, transportándonos a los vibrantes paisajes de su pueblo nativo Condoto en Chocó, Colombia. En medio de las extraordinarias y elaboradas producciones musicales, Goyo nos da un recorrido por su historia y sus referentes musicales, incluyendo el origen de su apoyo, el amor de su padre a la música de salsa, su ascenso al reconocimiento internacional con la banda ChocQuibTown, y su obsesión con Shakira.
“En Letra de Otro es un sueño cumplido. Mostrar un poco de mi a través de la música con la que crecí, es hermoso. Ver a mi familia, mis tías y primos haciendo parte también de la producción me llena de felicidad. Condoto es la raíz, mi esencia, y sin esa raíz hoy no estaría cumpliendo el sueño de presentar un proyecto en solitario, pero con el alma y la bendición de ChocQuibTown, mi casa matriz” comenta Goyo.
Posteriormente al estreno, este 7 de marzo, el Miami Film Festival presentará un evento de alfombra roja con una función del documental y una entrevista moderada por Leila Cobo.
Anteriormente, Goyo participó en el especial de HBO Latino Piano y Mujer (2021), disponible a través de HBO Max. La galardonada serie de En Letra De Otro ha destacado a artistas de la talla de Farruko (2019), Gente de Zona (2018), y Pedro Capó (2017). The Miami Film Festival to host special screening and Q&A on March 7
MIAMI (March 4, 2022) – Colombian artist Gloria “Goyo” Martinez from the Latin GRAMMY®-award winning and GRAMMY® nominated trio, ChocQuibTown launches her solo career with HBO’s Latin GRAMMY®-award winning series En Letra De Otro and a studio album of the same name now available to stream on HBO Max and all digital streaming platforms. “Na Na Na” fuses the rhythms of Caribbean dembow with club-ready arrangements and Goyo’s wordplay, as she sings the empowering lyrics of a woman who is willing to walk away from a relationship that isn’t centered on faithful love. Filmed in Miami for Kree8 Productions, the music video gives Goyo her long-awaited chance to demonstrate her charisma, energy and glamor as the focal point of the visuals.
Produced by Sony Music Latin and Kree8 under the direction of Simon Brand, the HBO special features Goyo in the first female led En Letra de Otro music special to cover personal favorites – from Tito Puente’s “Oye Cómo Va,” to Shakira’s “Antología,” and Ella Fitzgerald’s “Summertime” – transporting us to the vibrant landscapes of her native Condoto in Chocó, Colombia. In between the stunning and elaborate music numbers, Goyo offers a glimpse of her history and influences, including the origin of her nickname, her father’s love of salsa, her rise to international recognition with the band ChocQuibTown, and her obsession with Shakira.
“En Letra de Otro is a dream come true. Sharing part of who I am through the music I grew up with is beautiful. Seeing my family, my aunts and cousins also taking part in the production fills me with happiness,” said Goyo. “Condoto is the root, my essence, and without that root, I wouldn’t be fulfilling the dream of presenting a solo project, but with the soul and blessing of Chocquibtown” she added.
A post premiere red-carpet screening and Q&A moderated by Leila Cobo will be hosted in celebration of the special by the Miami Film Festival on Monday, March 7.
