LEIVA estrena nuevo video “LLEGARÁ” junto a CATALINA GARCÍA y una página web donde ahondar en el universo de CUANDO TE MUERDES EL LABIO
MIAMI ( 4 de marzo de 2022) – “Llegará” o la canción como reducto último de la esperanza, donde volar descalzos y ponerle cara al horizonte. Entre la nostalgia y el anhelo, Leiva desnuda la emoción en un hand to hand junto a la caleña Catalina García, facturando una sedosa y delicada composición que retrata con melancolía los momentos sublimes de una relación, evocación entre el quiebro y la luz que se sustenta en su propio poder melódico y sugestivo y que reverdece con el acompañamiento de una finísima e inspirada sección de cuerdas. De hecho, la canción aparece en el disco en su toma primigenia, que resultó definitiva: la demo, grabación desnuda de guitarra y dos voces, tenía tanta alma, que Leiva decidió dejarla tal cual y solo hubo de revestir la joya en bruto con el cuarteto de cuerda y una latente percusión.
En este nuevo videoclip extraído de su reciente y exitoso Cuanto te muerdes el labio, Leiva lleva a puerto el affaire musical entretejiendo su voz con la de Catalina García, la madame del folk contemporáneo, también actriz, artista muy reconocida por su labor al frente de la banda colombiana Monsieur Periné, a la que Leiva venía siguiendo el rastro desde hacía tiempo.
El video, firmado por la directora habitual de Leiva, Cris Gris, irradia una sencillez bucólica, con ambos artistas cantando a bordo de una trajinera, típica embarcación mexicana que recorre el antiguo canal de Cuemanco, entre el embarcadero de Las Flores Nativitas y la Isla de las Muñecas, en Xochimilco (Ciudad de México).

MIAMI (March 4, 2022) – “Llegará” is the song as the last stronghold of hope, a place to fly to barefoot and facing the horizon. Between nostalgia and longing, Leiva strips the emotion in a head-to-head interaction with the Cali-born Catalina García, creating a silky and delicate composition that melancholically portrays the sublime moments of a relationship; an evocation somewhere between the crack and the light that is sustained by its own melodic and suggestive power and that greens up with the accompanying delicate and inspired string section. In fact, the definitive version of the song featured on the album turned out to be the first take recorded by the artists –the demo, a bare recording of guitar and two voices, was so moving that Leiva decided to leave it as it was, so he only had to coat the raw jewel with the string quartet and a latent percussion.
In this new music video off his recent and successful Cuanto te muerdes el labio, Leiva leads the musical affair to safe harbor by interweaving his voice with that of Catalina García, actress and madame of contemporary folk, an artist known for leading the Colombian band Monsieur Periné, whom Leiva had been tracking for some time.
The video, directed by Leiva’s regular collaborator Cris Gris, oozes a bucolic simplicity, with both artists singing aboard a “trajinera”, a typical Mexican boat that travels along the old Cuemanco canal, between Las Flores Nativitas pier and the Isla de las Muñecas, in Xochimilco (Mexico City).
