MIAMI (12 de mayo de 2022) – La aclamada banda puertorriqueña Los Rivera Destino continúa impulsándose como uno de los actos emergentes más intrigantes de la música latina, compartiendo hoy el nuevo video musical de su sencillo “Pancakes“, un corte de su muy esperado álbum debut Besitos y Besitas, que fue lanzado el pasado 18 de abril.
“Pancakes” ofrece tanto el sonido progresivo como el encantador carácter lúdico que ha hecho que Los Rivera Destino se conviertan rápidamente en una sensación, mezclando riffs dulces y almibarados con letras ingeniosas que envuelven a los oyentes en una fantasía romántica cargada de humor. El vídeo musical, dirigido por la banda, muestra al trío estudiando como chefs en La Escuela Hotelera de San Juan, una escuela de cocina y hostelería en Puerto Rico, preparando tortitas junto a su bella compañera de clase e instructora, pero no sin meterse en un pequeño problema por el camino. Esta es una divertida pieza visual que cautiva con una final sorpresa.
“Entendemos que cualquier persona en el mundo que le tire un pancake en la cara a Mariam Pabón (Comediante y Actriz) se merece una paliza de Savio Vega (WWE-IWA). Incluso, si Savio Vega le tirara un pancake en la cara a Mariam Pabón aparecería otro Savio Vega a darle una paliza a ese Savio Vega. Nosotros definitivamente merecemos todo lo que nos pasó en la filmación de este video musical, aunque hayamos sido los directores del mismo.”
La banda presentó por primera vez “Pancakes” al público en su actuación en el NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert a principios de este año como preludio al lanzamiento de su álbum debut de 14 temas producido por Ismael Cancel y Los Rivera Destino. Un proyecto extraordinario en el que la banda fusiona el pasado con el futuro, desafiando los límites generacionales al enfrentarse a los estereotipos y el statu quo, a la vez que se inspira en sus raíces ancestrales y en la rica historia musical de su querida Isla del Encanto. Besitos y Besitas incluye los exitosos sencillos “Castigo” ft. Pedro Capó, “Mis Amigos”, “Edgar Allan Poe” y “Foto de Perfil” con Ñengo Flow e iLe, además de colaboraciones con artistas como Guaynaa, Riccie Oriach y Paula Cendejas.
Desde su llegada a la escena en 2018, cuando comandaron la atención global con su interpretación viral de boleros de “Te Boté”, Los Rivera Destino han ganado elogios tanto de los oyentes como de la prensa dentro y fuera de Puerto Rico. MIAMI (May 12, 2022) – Acclaimed Puerto Rican band Los Rivera Destino continues to build their unstoppable momentum as one of the most intriguing rising acts in Latin music, today sharing the new music video for their single “Pancakes,” a cut from their highly anticipated debut album Besitos y Besitas, which was released last month.
“Pancakes” delivers both the progressive sound and the charming playfulness that have quickly made Los Rivera Destino a sensation, blending syrupy sweet riffs with witty lyrics that envelop listeners in a humor-fueled romantic fantasy. The music video, which was directed by the band and sees the trio studying as chefs at La Escuela Hotelera de San Juan, a culinary and hospitality school in Puerto Rico, preparing pancakes alongside their beautiful classmate and instructor, but not without getting into a little trouble along the way. Fans will be left speechless by the end of this amusing visual piece and will flip for the shocking surprise ending that they didn’t see coming.
“We understand that anyone in the world who throws a pancake in the face of Mariam Pabon (Comedian and Actress) deserves a beating from Savio Vega (WWE-IWA). Even if Savio Vega threw a pancake in Mariam Pabon’s face, another Savio Vega would show up to beat up that Savio Vega. We definitely deserve everything that happened to us in the filming of this music video, even though we were the directors of it.”
The band first introduced “Pancakes” to the audience in their NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert performance earlier this year as a prelude to the release of their 14-track debut album produced by Ismael Cancel.
