LUIS FIGUEROA estrena su primer EP 1807

MIAMI (12 de febrero de 2021) – El joven cantante y compositor puertorriqueño Luis Figueroa hoy nos sorprende con el lanzamiento de su primer EP 1807. Este puñado de siete canciones muy personales llega sin videos ni actuaciones especiales ni retos en las redes sociales, sino con el sello singular que siempre ha distinguido su música. 1807 se encuentra disponible hoy en todas las plataformas de música digital vía Sony Music Latin/Magnus Media.
Las canciones de 1807 dan rienda suelta a la voz privilegiada de Luis Figueroa quien mezcla sus influencias de R&B, tropical y música urbana para deleitarnos con sus actuaciones. Luis es el único intérprete de todos los temas, dándonos la oportunidad de apreciar su versatilidad y su gran talento.
El título se refiere al número de su apartamento donde estas canciones nacieron: “1807 es una colección de canciones que yo escribí y grabé en casa durante la cuarentena. Cada uno representa las varias emociones del corazón que uno experimenta estando en completa soledad. Todos los altibajos, mis pensamientos más profundos, preocupaciones, dolor y alegría”
Luis funge como co-productor y co-autor de todas las canciones, que fueron grabadas en Miami. Ademas, Luis colabora con productores de la talla de Dime Lauro, Fux Beat, Jowan & Wain de ICON Music, y Méo,logrando crear una atractiva combinación de letra, arreglos y ritmos.
Podemos apreciar canciones urbanas de corte romántico como “Recuerda” y “Desigual”, un tema desgarrador de desamor “DimePorque”, al igual que fusiones de reggaetón con R&B (“9PM”, “Tírame”) y con trap “PrimeraVez”. Además, Luis nos pone a bailar las penas con el pop tropical de “Vuela (Remix)” y su mensaje alentador ante una ruptura amorosa.
Luis Figueroa es uno de los artistas más prometedores de esta década, y lo vuelve a comprobar en 1807, un proyecto donde la música habla por si mismo.
En diciembre 2019, el popular servicio de streaming Pandora destacó a Luis Figueroa en su influyente lista Latin Artists to Watch 2020, dándole exposición con oyentes que adoran descubrir música nueva. Recientemente, la prestigiosa revista Billboard nombró a Luis entre los 17 Artistas Latinos Masculinos A Descubrir Durante Esta Cuarentena. Además, su sencillo “Te Deseo” alcanzó el puesto #24 en la lista Latin Pop Airplay de Billboard. Luis interpretó esta canción al igual que el clásico “Si Tú Me Dices Ven” durante el festival de música Made in Casa presentado por Sony Music Latin.
A principios del 2020, Luis Figueroa fungió como telonero de Marc Anthony en su gira Opus Tour por Estados Unidos, dándole la oportunidad de presentar sus canciones ante un público masivo. En noviembre del mismo año, lanzó su versión del clásico villancico “Noche de Paz”.

MIAMI (February 12, 2021) – The young Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Luis Figueroa today gives us the surprise release of his debut EP 1807. These seven very personal songs arrive without music videos or all-star guests or social-media challenges. Instead, they’re all about the unique style that sets his music apart. 1807 is available now from all digital-music outlets via Sony Music Latin/Magnus Media.
The songs of 1807 showcase the unmistakable voice of Luis Figueroa who mixes R&B, tropical and urban influences to delight us with his performances. Luis is the sole interpreter of all of these songs, giving us the chance to appreciate his versatility and vast talent.
The title refers to the apartment number where these songs were created: “1807 is a collection of songs that I wrote and recorded at home during the quarantine. Each one represents the many emotions of the heart that one experiences while being completely in solitude. All the ups and downs, your deepest thoughts, worries, pain and joy.”
Luis serves as co-producer and co-writer of all the songs, which he recorded in Miami. He also collaborated with such prominent producers as Dime Lauro, Fux Beat, Jowan & Wain of ICON Music, and Méo,creating an attractive combination of lyrics, arrangements and rhythms.
We can groove to romantic urban tracks like “Recuerda” (Remember) and “Desigual” (Unequal); a heart-rending breakup song “DimePorque” (Tell Me Why); fusions of reggaetón with R&B on “9PM” and “Tírame” (Hit Me Up), and with trap on “PrimeraVez” (First Time). In addition, Luis has us dancing our sorrows away with the tropical pop of “Vuela (Remix)” (Fly), and its message of comfort in the aftermath of a relationship.
Luis Figueroa is one of the most promising artists of the decade, and he proves it again on 1807, a project where the music speaks for itself.
In December 2019, the popular streaming platform Pandora named Luis Figueroa to its influential music-discovery playlist Latin Artists to Watch 2020. Recently, Luis was featured on Billboard’s 17 Latin Male Artists to Discover During Quarantine and his hit single “Te Deseo” (I Wish for You) peaked at #24 on Billboard Latin Pop Airplay. Luis performed the song along with the classic “Si Tú Me Dices Ven” (If You Tell Me To Come Over) on Sony Music Latin’s Made in Casa Livestream Music Festival.
During early 2020, he opened for Marc Anthony’s U.S. Opus Tour, giving him the opportunity to introduce his own songs to massive audiences. In November, he released his first Christmas song, “Noche de Paz” (Silent Night).
