MANUEL TURIZO nos lleva a la década del 2000 en su nuevo video musical “TE OLVIDO”
MIAMI (8 de octubre de 2021) — Hoy, la superestrella latina Manuel Turizo lanzó su nueva canción y video musical “Te Olvido”. Mira el video AQUÍ.
“Te Olvido” es una balada que se convierte en un reggaetón lento que habla de ser engañado por la persona que creías que era tu pareja y pedirle que nunca regrese. La canción comienza con Manuel Turizo explicándonos la historia de fondo de la situación antes de pasar al pre-coro, y finalmente soltando el bajo en el coro.
“En darme una explicación no te molestes // Si cuando estes sola piensas en pedirme perdón // Yo no espero que lo intentes // Sólo acuérdate de todo lo que yo aposté por ti, tu lo tiraste a la muerte // Nada te importó el valor que yo te di, en engaños terminó”, Manuel Turizo comienza cantando, retratando su desamor con mucho sentimiento que transmite su voz.
El video musical, dirigido por P The Chemist, muestra a Manuel aceptando la angustia y prometiéndose olvidar ese engaño en una noche. La inspiración detrás de la estética fue el año 2000, que es el año en que nació Manuel y el nombre que le pondrá a su próximo tercer álbum. En el video, el espectador se sumerge en un viaje memorable al pasado con homenajes muy reconocibles a los programas, la moda y las celebridades que marcaron a una generación.
El video comienza en la habitación de una chica, exactamente como se esperaría que una adolescente de la década de 2000 decorara su habitación. Su televisor está encendido, donde vemos el primer indicio de Manuel antes de llevarnos a su universo que se siente como una mezcla de MTV Cribs y Entertainment Tonight. Sus elecciones de moda recuerdan mucho a los estilos de íconos como Pharrell, Nelly e incluso Justin Timberlake, mientras muestra cómo ahora está superando la angustia de su desamor.

“Te Olvido” is a ballad that turns into a slow-tempo reggaetón that talks about being deceived by the person you thought was your partner and asking them to never come back. The song begins with Manuel Turizo giving us the backstory of the situation before transitioning to the pre-chorus, and finally dropping the beat in the chorus.
“Don’t even bother giving my an explanation // If you ever think of apologizing when you’re alone // I hope you don’t even try it // Just remember I was rooting for you, and you threw everything out the window // You didn’t care how much I valued you, it just ended in lies,” Manuel Turizo begins singing, portraying his heartbreak with a lot of feeling that comes through his performance.
The music video, directed by P The Chemist, shows Manuel accepting the heartbreak and promising himself to forget that deception in one night. The inspiration behind it was the year 2000, which is the year when Manuel was born and will be the name of his upcoming third album. In the video, the viewer immerses themself in a memorable trip to the past with very recognizable tributes to shows, fashion, and celebrities that shaped a generation.
The video begins in a girl’s bedroom, exactly how you’d expect a teenager in the 2000s to decorate her room. Her TV is on, where we see the first hint of Manuel before taking us into his universe which feels like a mix of MTV Cribs and Entertainment Tonight. His fashion choices are very reminiscent of the styles of icons such as Pharrell, Nelly, and even Justin Timberlake, as he shows how he’s now getting over the heartbreak.
