RESIDENTE lanza nuevo sencillo y video “RENÉ”

MIAMI (27 de febrero de 2020) – El rapero, compositor y productor RESIDENTE (René Pérez Joglar), lanza hoy su tercer sencillo y video musical , “RENÉ” . A través de sus redes sociales Residente expresó que hoy 27 de febrero vuelve a ser “RENÉ” y confiesa que esta canción además de ser el tema más importante en su vida personal, componerlo lo ayudo en un momento muy difícil hace unos años atrás.
“RENÉ” llega después del éxito de su enérgico dembo/reggaetón, “Bellacoso” junto a Bad Bunny. Este tema muestra a Residente tal cual es con sus virtudes, defectos, miedos, alegrías, tristezas, añoranzas y triunfos. “Esta canción me ayudó a salir de un lugar en donde no quería estar. Necesitaba volver a mi pueblo, a mi casa, a encontrarme con mis amigos, necesitaba volver a ser yo” – expresó.
El sencillo viene acompañado de un video muy emotivo dirigido por el por el propio René, al igual que ha hecho en todos los videos musicales de sus producciones anteriores. En él se deja ver desde lo más profundo, con transparencia y sin armaduras. Filmado en su natal Puerto Rico y en su pueblo de Trujillo Alto, logró hacer un repaso de su vida hasta el presente.
Este próximo 7 de marzo, el artista se presentará junto a la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles en el Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Actualmente, Residente continúa trabajando en lo que será su segundo álbum en solitario. Ampliando aún más su exploración de innovadores paralelos musicales y científicos, Residente trabaja con los departamentos de neurología de Yale y la Universidad de Nueva York, donde se asoció con profesores para estudiar patrones de ondas cerebrales en gusanos, insectos, ratones e incluso Bad Bunny cuando estaban creando “Bellacoso”. Utilizando pruebas de electroencefalograma (EEG), René rastreo ritmos comunicativos que eventualmente los ha convertido en sonidos para este nuevo proyecto. A través de ondas cerebrales y frecuencias, Residente se conecta tanto en un ambiente científico como emocional logrando colaboraciones que inspiran la creación de música sin barreras.

Today, February 27, Residente Goes Back To Being “René”
MIAMI (February 27, 2020) – The rapper, songwriter and producer Residente (René Pérez Joglar)releases “RENÉ,” the third single from his forthcoming second solo album. Residente took to his social media channels today to announce the new track, and to emphasize that it’s the most important and personal song he has ever shared. He added that writing it helped him through a difficult time several years ago.
“René” arrives on the heels of his energetic dembow/reggaetón fusion “Bellacoso” featuring Bad Bunny.
The lyrics of “René” reflect the real Residente, taking an unsparing look at his qualities, his faults, fears, hopes and successes. “This song helped me get out of a place where I really didn’t want to be. I needed to go back to my town, my home, and reunite with my friends. I needed to be myself again.” – he expressed.
As with all of his solo singles to date, Residente directed the song’s very moving music video, laying bare René’s true self. Filmed in his native Puerto Rico in the town of Trujillo Alto where he grew up, he has created a visual work that examines his entire life.
On March 7, Residente will perform at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Meanwhile, Residente continues working on his forthcoming second solo album. Furthering his deep dive into parallels between science and music, Residente is working with researchers in neuroscience and psychology at Yale and NYU, studying brain waves in worms, insects and mice. He even made his collaborator Bad Bunny a test subject as they created the track “Bellacoso.” Using electroencephalograms, Residente traced communicative rhythms in the brain, which he then used to create sounds. This cutting-edge fusion of science and music is unlocking revelations about the hidden symphony behind our existence, emotions and thoughts, and taking Residente’s material in captivating new directions.
