ROZALÉN Debuts “Y BUSQUÉ”: An instrospective Journey

ROZALÉN estrena ‘Y BUSQUÉ’: un viaje interior

This Preview Of The Spanish Singer And Songwriter’s Fourth Album Is To Be Released On September 4

MIAMI (September 4, 2020) – The Albacete, Spain native Rozalén was inspired to write her latest single “Y Busqué” (And I Searched) after her visit to the temple of El Tepozteco in Mexico. This song is another preview of her upcoming fourth album.

Alluding to different phases of ascension, an introspective search, and insecurities, the lyrics offer a resolution: “la respuesta estaba dentro de mí” (the answer was inside of me).

Rozalén has also previewed her album with singles including “Este Tren” in May, and more recently “Que No, Que No,” which is included in the new Spanish film “La Boda de Rosa”, directed by Icíar Bollaín.

Describing the metaphors that she was introduced to during her visit to Tepoztlán, Rozalén notes, “They went about explaining the ascension to the pyramid as if it was life itself.” She came to understand that our happiness can’t come from external desire, and wrote “Y Busqué” to reinforce the message of self-affirmation.

Filled with musical adrenaline, this song features intense musical accompaniment reminiscent of Coldplay, along with a distinctive percussion arrangement. Once again, Rozalén challenges herself and becomes a more versatile artist.

The theme of her fourth album centers on giving to others by way of being true to ourselves: “Because self-care doesn’t lead to neglecting others – it’s quite the opposite,” she points out.

Rozalén’s career has been gathering momentum, starting with her debut album Con Derecho a… (With the Right To, 2013), followed by Quién Me Ha Visto…  (Who Has Seen Me, 2015), and Cuando el Río Suena… (When The River Is Heard, 2017) which topped the Spanish sales chart and received two Latin GRAMMY® nominations.
