VÍCTOR MANUELLE lanza junto a WISIN “BOOGALOO SUPREME”
El video y sencillo fusiona la música de los años 60 con el popular género urbano
MIAMI (6 de marzo de 2020) – El consagrado sonero puertorriqueño Víctor Manuelle y su coterráneo, el legendario rapero Wisin, hacen mancuerna musical en su nueva canción “Boogaloo Supreme”. Este sencillo se encuentra disponible a partir de hoy en todas las plataformas de música digital, y el video se puede disfrutar a través del canal de YouTube de Víctor Manuelle.
El título de esta canción, de la autoría de Víctor, rinde homenaje al ritmo latino que se internacionalizó durante los 60. Fusionando el R&B afroamericano con matices tropicales, el boogaloo nació en los barrios latinos de Nueva York para luego hacer historia en la música popular de Estados Unidos.
Para recrear un ambiente nostálgico en el video musical, los intérpretes acudieron al Flamingo Theater Bar en Miami, recinto donde se presentan algunos de los artistas latinos más sobresalientes de ayer y hoy. Dirigido por Fernando Lugo quien también realizó su video musical “Mala y Peligrosa”, esta obra visual destaca la coreografía de un gigantesco cuerpo de bailarines quienes se visten con la moda de la época.
El flow de Wisin y los sintetizadores del género urbano se mezclan a la perfección con el soneo de Víctor y los instrumentos de viento que caracterizan el boogaloo.
El dos veces ganador del Latin GRAMMY® Víctor Manuelle siempre ha sido importante embajador del género tropical ante la escena contemporánea de música, y se ha mantenido a la vanguardia de fusionar su música con ritmos urbanos desde el 2003 cuando grabó “Ay Amor” con Héctor y Tito.

The Single and Video Mix 1960s Style With Sounds Of Today
MIAMI (March 6, 2020) – Two legendary Puerto Rican artists – the renowned tropical sonero Víctor Manuelle and the influential rapper Wisin – make musical alchemy on their new track “Boogaloo Supreme.” This single is available today from all digital-music outlets, while the video can be enjoyed on Víctor’s YouTube channel.
The title of this song, which is written by Víctor, pays tribute to the Latin rhythm that became an international phenomenon in the 1960s. Fusing African-American R&B with tropical influences, the boogaloo arose from Latino barrios in New York and made history in American popular music.
In order to re-create the era, Víctor and Wisin journeyed to Miami’s Flamingo Theater Bar, where in-the-know audiences catch some of Latin music’s most important artists in an intimate setting. Directed by Fernando Lugo, whose credits include Víctor’s previous video “Mala y Peligrosa,” the visuals of this video showcase a choreography with over 15 dancers who are dressed to fit the era’s style.
Wisin’s flow and urban-music’s characteristic synthesizers mix perfectly with Víctor’s tropical soneo and the boogaloo’s signature brass instrumentation.
