YEИDRY lanza el empoderado sencillo “YA”
Promete ayudar a Topo Art Medellín, organización que provee un espacio creativo para niños de comunas vecinas
MIAMI (28 de mayo de 2021) – La cantante trilingüe, dominicano-italiana YEИDRY lanza su nueva propuesta musical “YA” vía RCA Records/Sony Music Latin. Este sencillo único y alternativo creado por el famoso productor Federico Vindver, es otra muestra de la versatilidad de la cantante tanto como artista y como compositora.
“‘YA’ representa la confianza en sí mismos que todos tenemos, pero que a veces no podemos encontrar. Se trata de sentirse empoderado, se trata de no dejar que nadie te cree obstáculos y solo confiar en ti mismo…vivir sin miedo a la muerte, que, para mí, es el enfoque más valiente que podemos adoptar en la vida,” explica YEИDRY.
El anticipado sencillo llega junto a impactantes imágenes dirigidas por Kieran Khan y filmadas en Medellín, Colombia. El video comienza con la cantante cantando “Lo quiero to’” mientras camina con confianza por uno de los ríos más importantes de Colombia, el Río Cauca, que corre desde el sur de los Andes y desciende hacia el Océano Atlántico. Después de haber pasado tanto tiempo en Colombia el año pasado y aprender a amar al país como su segundo hogar, YEИDRY promete ayudar a la organización sin fines de lucro Topo Art Medellín que proveen un espacio para que los niños de las comunidades vecinas trabajen en su creatividad a través de la música y el arte. La cantante realizó un taller y cantó para los niños de Topo Art el pasado mes de abril y regresará el próximo mes para participar en otros talleres. YEИDRY nacida Yendry Fiorentino lanzó su sencillo debut “Barrio” en el 2019 e inmediatamente hizo ruido entre personas de influencia y fanáticos. A finales del 2020, ella interpretó su segundo sencillo “Nena” para COLORS el cual sobrepasó 2.2 millones de vistas. VER AQUÍ. Sus canciones son una mezcla de ritmos caribeños y europeos y están inspiradas en las angustias económicas que llevaron a su madre a dejar la República Dominicana y emigrar a Italia cuando ella era una niña. Esto llevó a un periodo de auto-exploración y retos que la formaron no solo personalmente sino también artísticamente. Ella explica: “Me di cuenta de que tenía una voz. Hablar acerca de lo que está pasando en esta sociedad y en nuestra cultura. Pienso, como artista, que me encantaría traer al panorama algunos temas tabú.”

YEИDRY estuvo de gira recientemente por el Reino Unido con Sean Paul, ha aparecido en Rolling Stone Italy, Vogue Italy,Billboard Argentina y Ones to Watch, quienes escribieron: “Entre su amplio rango de influencias y su talento innegable, es imposible confinar a YEИDRY a cualquier género.”

YEИDRY Releases Empowering Single “YA”
Vows to Donate Proceeds of the Single to the NGO Topo Art Medellín
MIAMI (May 28, 2021) – Trilingual Dominican-Italian songstress YEИDRY releases her latest single “YA” via RCA Records/Sony Music Latin. The genre bending Latinx alternative track created by famed producer Federico Vindver is another display of the songstress’ versality both as an artist and songwriter.
“‘YA’ represents the self-confidence we all have yet sometimes can’t find. It’s about empowerment, it’s about not letting anyone get in your way and only relying on yourself…living without the fear of death, which to me, is the bravest approach we can take in life,” explains YEИDRY.
The highly anticipated single arrives alongside striking visuals shot and directed by Kieran Khan and filmed in Medellín, Colombia. The video opens with the songstress chanting “Yo quiero to’” (I want it all) as she confidently walks along one of Colombia’s most important rivers, Río Cauca, which runs from the south of the Andes mountains and descends into the Atlantic Ocean. Having spent so much time in Colombia this past year and growing to love the country as her second home, YEИDRY vowed to donate proceeds of the song to the NGO Topo Art Medellín which holds space for children in neighboring comunas (projects) to work on their creativity via music and art. The songstress did a workshop and sang for the kids of Topo Art this past April and will be returning next month to participate in additional workshops.
