Con mezcla de mariachi y sierreño ALEX FERNÁNDEZ da forma a su propio legado lanzando “BUSCANDO EL OLVIDO” iniciando una nueva etapa en la carrera de el heredero del mariachi
MIAMI (13 ago. 2021) – Alex Fernández, el más joven de La Dinastía Fernández, está listo para continuar su carrera con una propuesta artística muy personal que traza su propio camino. Es por ello que, como artista de una generación caracterizada por derribar géneros, el cantante ha apostado por una mezcla de mariachi con guitarras sierreñas, acordeón y tubas para “Buscando el Olvido”, primer sencillo compuesto y producido por Edén Muñoz, con quien hace una gran mancuerna en el nuevo álbum.
“Hoy la música está cambiando a pasos agigantados”, cuenta el cantante mexicano, “mi propia generación, por ejemplo, está adoptando el regional de una manera que hace unos años era impensable y que aprovecha la tradición haciendo una mezcla muy interesante de géneros. Eso me gusta mucho. Trabajé mucho con Edén para encontrar un sonido que honre las diversas raíces de la música mexicana. Con ‘Buscando el Olvido’ creo que logramos una mezcla de mariachi con banda y sierreño muy interesante que espero que les guste tanto como a mí”.
El sencillo se estrena junto a un video que hace honor a lo que representa la canción: una mezcla de tradición con novedad. Esto al ser grabado en la cantina La Occidental, uno de los nuevos referentes para los tapatíos que buscan un lugar nuevo que reviva la esencia de los lugares clásicos del imaginario mexicano.

ALEX FERNÁNDEZ Mixes Mariachi And Sierreño Genres As He Crafts A Unique Style On His Single And Music Video “BUSCANDO EL OLVIDO” This Release Kicks Off A New Stage In His Career
MIAMI (August 13, 2021) – Alex Fernández, at 28 the youngest heir to the legendary Fernández family dynasty of ranchera singers, kicks off a new era of his career with an even more unique personal style on his latest single and video “Buscando el Olvido” (Searching for Forgetting). As part of a generation that mixes genres, he unveils a potent mix of mariachi and Sierreño-styled acoustic guitars, accordion and tuba on this song, which is written and produced by Edén Muñoz, leader of the renowned group Calibre 50. Alex Fernández and Edén Muñoz worked together closely on Alex’s upcoming album, and flourished creatively.
Alex notes that his generation is reinventing the way music fans think about genres: “Today, music is changing by leaps and bounds. My generation is embracing Regional Mexican music in a way that would have been impossible a few years ago, and we’re valuing our tradition with a very interesting mix of genres. I love it. I spent a lot of time working with Edén to craft a sound that honors the diverse roots of Mexican music. With ‘Buscando el Olvido’ I think we achieved a fascinating fusion of mariachi, banda, and Sierreño which I hope you enjoy as much as I do.”
The single is accompanied by a music video that reflects the song’s mix of tradition and modernity. It was filmed at Guadalajara’s popular Cantina La Occidental, a new hangout that lovingly revives the essence of the historic cantinas of Mexico’s collective memory.
