FITO PAEZ presenta nuevo videoclip: “La Canción De Las Bestias”
MIAMI (26 de mayo, 2020) – “La Canción de las Bestias” fue una canción elegida espontáneamente por el público como una de las preferidas del nuevo álbum de Fito Paez, La Conquista del Espacio, editado el pasado 13 de marzo. Luego del primer adelanto “Resucitar”, que suma más de 2 millones de reproducciones a la fecha, “La Canción de las Bestias” se convierte así en el segundo single con su videoclip.
Filmado durante la cuarentena desde la casa del propio artista -que en estos últimos meses ha sido además escenario de varios conciertos íntimos seguidos vía streaming y a través de medios de comunicación masivos por personas en todo el planeta-, en una realización colectiva a distancia de la que participaron Paez, Pippa, Rompo, Taboada & Zimerman.
En palabras de Fito: “Esta es una canción de tinte acústico donde la bestia es el tipo que lleva el peso, el esclavo. Ahí me represento yo, y ahí veo a todos los seres humanos. Todos somos bestias; hasta el más inmundo asesino tiene un corazón y eso tiene un valor. Está contado en primera persona: yo soy la bestia, me hago cargo, por eso es que me emociona tanto la canción.
El video de La Canción De Las Bestias, surgió en estos tiempos de pandemia, lo llamé a Max Rompo, mi amigo, y le dije: ´Me gustaría que empecemos a jugar, te voy a enviar algunas imágenes´.
Me filmé con el teléfono, aquí en casa, hice varios planos largos, planos cortos, hice algunos macros con ojos, manos, boca. Max cuando ve el material convoca a Alex Pippa, que es su colega con quien trabaja habitualmente, y ahí comienzan a experimentar tomando algunas partes de las filmaciones que les mandé. Avanzan con la fantasía de animar unos monstruitos hermosos, junto con Iván Zimerman, que se sumó en la animación.
Al material que filmé le sumaron otros materiales filmados por ellos, utilizaron extractos de ojos, jugaron con una suerte de deformaciones del rostro, hubo muchos procesos, todo lo hicimos en 10 días.
Era un video urgente, una manera de divertirnos. A todos nos gustaba la canción. Por último, se sumó Julia Taboada con las traducciones al mandarín, una idea que aporta Max.
Fue un trabajo colectivo, lo hicimos entre todos y estamos muy orgullosos de este video hecho a distancia y con mucho amor”.
Acerca de La Conquista del Espacio
Grabado en Capitol Studio (Hollywood), Ocean Way Nashville Studio (Nashville) e Igloo Music (Burbank), cuenta con nueve canciones inéditas, todas compuestas por Fito (excepto “Ey, You!”, en la que comparte la autoría con Hernán “Mala Fama” Coronel).
La producción artística estuvo a cargo de Fito Paez, Diego Olivero y Gustavo Borner. Además de los músicos de su banda, Diego Olivero, Juani Agüero y Juan Absatz, el álbum cuenta con el retorno del histórico bajista Guillermo Vadalá (quien participó en nueve discos de Fito, entre ellos el multi-premiado “El amor después del amor”) y el reconocido baterista californiano Abraham Laboriel Jr. (Paul McCartney, Sting).
También hay grandes músicos invitados: Juanes, Lali, Ca7riel, Mateo Sujatovich, Hernán “Mala Fama” Coronel, Franco Saglietti, María Campos y Nacho Godoy.
La orquestación y dirección de la Nashville Music Scoring Orchestra fue realizada por Ezequiel Silverstein, con arreglos de cuerdas del propio Fito Paez.

FITO PÁEZ Releases His Music Video “La Canción De Las Bestias”
MIAMI (May 26, 2020) – Selected by his fans as one of their favorite new tracks, “La Canción de las Bestias” (The Song of the Beasts) is the second single and video from La Conquista del Espacio (The Conquest of Space), the latest album by the legendary Argentine rocker Fito Páez. This album was released on March 13.
The first single from the album, “Resucitar” (Resurrect), has surpassed 2 million views and streams.
The music video for “La Canción de las Bestias” was filmed under quarantine protocol at Fito’s house, working remotely with a creative design team that consisted of Alex Pippa, Max Rompo, Julia Taboada and Iván Zimerman. Fito has also kept fans entertained during the pandemic by offering concerts to viewers around the world over streaming and broadcast platforms.
Fito describes the metaphorical lyrics of this song: “This is an acoustic-styled song where the beast means the beast of burden, the slave; I refer to myself and to all human beings. We are all beasts. Even the most psychopathic killer has a heart, and that has a value. The song is sung in first person. I am the beast. I own it; that’s why this song moves me so much.”
“The music video of ‘La Canción De Las Bestias’ was created during the quarantine. I called my friend Max Rompo and told him, ‘I would like for us to start playing. I’m going to send you some images.’”
“I filmed myself at home on my phone. I took some long shots and some close shots, along with macros of [my] eyes, hands, mouth. After Max reviewed it, he called in his regular collaborator Alex Pippa, and they began to experiment with some of the scenes I shot. They moved forward with the concept of animating some lovely monsters, and were joined in their animation work by Iván Zimerman.”
“They added other footage that they had filmed. They used extracts of eyes; they experimented with altered facial features and applied many processes. We did it all in 10 days.”
“It was an urgent video, a way of having fun. We all liked the song. The finishing touch was when Julia Taboada realized Max’s visión of translating the words to Mandarin Chinese.”
“It was a collective project. We did it together and we are very proud of this video that was put together remotely and with great love.”

Recorded at Capitol Studios (Hollywood), Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studios and Igloo Music (Burbank), La Conquista del Espacio comprises nine new songs, eight of which are solely written by Fito, with “Ey, You!” co-written by Fito and Hernán “Mala Fama” Coronel.
Production is handled by Fito Páez, Diego Olivero and Gustavo Borner. In addition to contributions from his touring band members of Diego Olivero, Juani Agüero and Juan Absatz, the album features the return of his former bass player Guillermo Vadalá, who played on nine of his albums, including the iconic El Amor Despúes Del Amor (1992). It also includes the renowned California-born drummer Abraham Laboriel Jr. (Paul McCartney, Sting).
Renowned guest musicians and vocalists include: Juanes, Lali, Ca7riel, Mateo Sujatovich, Hernán “Mala Fama” Coronel, Franco Saglietti, María Campos and Nacho Godoy.
Orchestration and direction of Nashville Music Scoring is handled by Ezequiel Silberstein, with string-section arrangements provided by Fito himself.
