IR SAIS junto a MANUEL TURIZO aportan sabor tropical a la música urbana con su nueva colaboración “BAILA KUMI”
MIAMI (10 de noviembre de 2021) – El cantautor y productor caribeño Ir Sais une su voz al talento colombiano en ascenso Manuel Turizo en su nueva colaboración “Baila Kumi”. Este sencillo y video se encuentran disponibles hoy a partir de las 6 p.m. ET en todas las plataformas de música digital.
Ir Sais, el famoso creador de “Midnight Boom” y “Dream Girl,” que ya cuenta con más de mil millones de streams, nos regala otro himno deslumbrante y fresco.
El título “Baila Kumi” es una frase en papiamento, idioma natal de Ir Sais, que significa bailar con su pareja. Mezclando el papiamento, español e inglés, esta canción nos transporta al romanticismo en tres idiomas. La dulzura y sentimiento de la interpretación de Ir Sais es el complemento perfecto para la voz grave y agradable de Manuel Turizo, y juntos nos invitan a conectarnos con nuestro ser amado por medio del baile.
El memorable refrán de “Tira ban ban, tira ban play”, traducido de papiamento significa “Tiremos pa’lla, tiremos a bailar”, y es el único código necesario para aceptar la terapia rítmica, sin tener miedo y sin tener la inseguridad para bailar.

Dirigido por Kath D. para 2 Wolves Productions, el video musical retrata a los cantantes en diferentes etapas del pasado y el futuro, incluyendo la época precolombina, la década de los 80, y un estado futurista con un estilo apocalíptico.

Acerca de Ir Sais:
Ir Sais es el nombre artístico de Irgwin Placido Sluis, quien nació en la isla de Bonaire que forma parte de las Antillas Neerlandesas. Su padre falleció cuando Irgwin apenas tenía un año. A los 11 años, empezó a tocar batería con latas de aluminio. Con una formación musical íntegramente autodidacta, Ir Sais ahora domina muchos instrumentos al igual que la producción. Después de probar el éxito con varias bandas populares de Bonaire, se fue a radicar en Holanda en el 2008, emprendiendo una exitosa carrera en solitario donde mezcla el pop con el ritmo caribeño de zouk. En el 2018, su canción “Dream Girl” fue descubierta por el remixer francés Djly Prod, quien la compartió con sus seguidores, ayudándole a que se volviera viral en conjunto con el #DreamGirlChallenge que dio aún más impulso no solamente a la canción sino también a la plataforma TikTok que en ese entonces era relativamente desconocida. Ir Sais grabó esta canción y mucho de su material en el idioma Papiamentu, el lenguaje de Bonaire que tiene raíces en el portugués, el español, y el holandés al igual que idiomas africanos.

MIAMI (November 10, 2021) – Caribbean singer-songwriter and producer Ir Sais duets with the young Colombian urban star Manuel Turizo on their new collaboration “Baila Kumi.” This single and video are available starting 6 p.m. ET today on all digital streaming platforms.
Ir Sais, the famous creator of “Midnight Boom” and “Dream Girl,” which has more than a billion streams, offers up another dazzling and fresh anthem.
The title “Baila Kumi” is a phrase in Ir Sais’ native language of Papiamento, which refers to dancing with your partner. Seamlessly fusing Papiamento, Spanish and English, this song brims with romanticism in three languages. The sweetness and expression of Ir Sais’ voice is the perfect complement to the easygoing baritone of Manuel Turizo, and together they encourage us to use dance to connect with a loved one.
With a catchy lyrical line in Papiamento of “Tira ban ban, tira ban play,” meaning “Let’s go over there, let’s go dance,” we give ourselves over to rhythmic therapy, without fear and without self-consciousness.
Mixing tropical and Latin-urban influences with the kadans rhythm, “Baila Kumi” is produced by Ir Sais, JonTheProducer and Daramola who also serve as songwriters along with Manuel Turizo and Miguel “Slow” Martínez. About Ir Sais:
Ir Sais is the artistic moniker of Irgwin Placido Sluis, born on the Caribbean island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles. His father died when Irgwin was just 1 year old. At 11, he began playing drums on tin cans. Completely self-taught, Ir Sais now masters several instruments as well as the production side. After getting his first taste of success with local Bonaire bands, he moved to the Netherlands in 2008, launching a solo career with original material that fuses pop with the Caribbean zouk rhythm. In 2018, his song “Dream Girl” caught the attention of the French remixer Djly Prod, who helped the song go viral and led to the #DreamGirlChallenge that drew massive attention to both the song and the still relatively unknown platform TikTok.
