KEVIN JOHANSEN presenta nuevo single junto a NATALIA LAFOURCADE “TÚ VE”
El tercer adelanto de su nuevo álbum de estudio, ya disponible aquí
MIAMI (20 de abril de 2022) – El cantautor Kevin Johansen presenta su nuevo single y video a dúo con su colega mexicana Natalia Lafourcade: “TÚ VE”, una nueva versión de la canción originalmente publicada en el 2019 en su multi-nominado álbum Algo ritmos.
En palabras de Kevin: “TÚ VE” es un manifiesto sobre el amor y sus infinitas formas, sobre su diversidad. Siempre imaginé la voz y el espíritu de mi querida y admirada Natalia Lafourcade interpretándola. Cuando le propuse ser parte de este disco, tuve la suerte de que ella eligiera esta canción. ¡Estoy tan feliz con el resultado! Hechizante, imborrable, fantasmagórica, lo que en inglés se dice “haunting”, así quedó TÚ VE gracias a Natalia. Espero que la disfruten”.
La producción de este “vals latinoamericano” estuvo a cargo del multipremiado uruguayo Juan Campodónico (Bajofondo, Jorge Drexler, El Cuarteto de Nos), con coproducción del argentino Diego Mema. La grabación se hizo en los estudios Zorzal, de Montevideo. Las voces de Lafourcade se grabaron en el estudio Acuyo, de Veracruz, México. También colaboraron Campodónico en guitarra eléctrica, teclados y programaciones, Diego Mema y Kevin Johansen en guitarras, Pablo Bonilla en programación, Nicolás Arnicho en percusión, y Roberto Rodino en batería.
El lanzamiento de “TÚ VE” está acompañado por un lyric video documental en el que podemos ver el proceso creativo de Kevin y Natalia juntos en Veracruz, México.
Este single es un nuevo anticipo de su esperado próximo álbum, que se editará en mayo, tercer corte luego del lanzamiento de “Last Night I Was Dreaming With You” con David Byrne, y “Suzanne” junto a Jorge Drexler, ambos con gran repercusión en redes y plataformas digitales de audio y video.
El productor Juan Campodónico se refirió al concepto del trabajo que está realizando con Johansen: “Estamos preparando un álbum que versiona y reversiona temas propios y canciones de otros, explorando la invitación a músicos que dialogan estéticamente con su música”.

MIAMI (April 20, 2022) – Singer-songwriter Kevin Johansen releases a new duo version of his track “TÚ VE” together with his Mexican fellow artist, Natalia Lafourcade. The song was originally part of his multi-nominated album Algo ritmos, released in 2019.
On Kevin own words:“TÚ VE” is a manifesto about love and its infinite forms, about its diversity. I always imagined the voice and spirit of my beloved and admired Natalia Lafourcade performing it. When I proposed her to be part of this new album, I was lucky enough she chose this song. I´m so happy with the result! Bewitching, indelible and haunting, that’s how this version TÚ VE has become thanks to Natalia. Hope you enjoy it.”
This “Latin American waltz” was produced by multi-awarded Uruguayan musician/producer Juan Campodónico (Bajofondo, Jorge Drexler, El Cuarteto de Nos), with additional production from the Argentine Diego Mema. The recording took place in Zorzal Studios in Montevideo, Uruguay, while the vocals by Lafourcade were recorded in Acuyo Studios, in Veracruz, Mexico. Campodónico also contributed playing electric guitar, keyboards and programming; Diego Mema and Kevin Johansen played guitars; Pablo Bonilla, programming; Nicolas Arnicho was featured in percussion and Roberto Rodino on the drums.
“TÚ VE” is accompanied by a documentary lyric video which showcases the creative process of Kevin and Natalia working together in Veracruz.
This single is a new advance of Kevin Johansen’s next studio album, to be published in May. This is the third track to be released, after “Last Night I Was Dreaming With You”, performed in collaboration with David Byrne, and “Suzanne”, along Jorge Drexler.
Producer Juan Campodónico anticipated the concept of the work he has been doing with Kevin: “We are preparing an album that covers and reversals own songs and songs of others, exploring the invitation to singers that dialogue with the tone of his music”.
