MIAMI (19 de mayo de 2022) – El inimitable cantautor de Puerto Rico, Luis Figueroa, lanza la primera parte de su segundo álbum de estudio auto titulado Luis Figueroa. Afirmando aún más su puesto como líder de la nueva generación de la salsa, Luis Figueroa lleva su música al siguiente nivel con su más reciente álbum. Luis Figueroa es una colección de canciones que representa las diferentes fases del enamoramiento, completa con una energía tropical que deleita a los oyentes con percusión y trombones, mientras destaca la dinámica voz de Luis Figueroa. “Como una persona que ama mucho y ha tenido altibajos, quería hacer este álbum para explorar todas las complejidades y dinámicas del amor. Soy muy afortunado de haber trabajado con un equipo increíble en este proyecto y espero que la gente pueda sentir una variedad de emociones al escuchar el álbum”, dijo Luis Figueroa.
Compuesto por Luis y producido por Motiff (Gente De Zona & Marc Anthony), Luis Figueroa es un álbum de salsa muy animado que explora varias facetas del amor. Su trabajo más desgarrador hasta la fecha, este álbum contiene cinco canciones, cada una con su propio estilo y su propia historia única. “Todavía Te Espero” despierta una variedad de sentimientos melancólicos, mientras que “Fiesta Contigo” es una canción festiva sobre el increíble sentimiento que tienes cuando pasas tiempo con alguien a quien amas. “Un Montón De Estrellas” es un hermoso tema que lucha por la esperanza en el poder del amor en medio de todos los desafíos y dificultades que enfrentamos con aquellos a quienes amamos. “Vienes” examina las partes desordenadas y complicadas de las relaciones, mientras que “9PM” captura la emoción de coquetear con todo su vértigo a través de la salsa con una fusión de urban flow.
El álbum viene junto con el video musical de “Vienes”. El video fue grabado en Bogotá, Colombia, producido por Daniel McAusland y dirigido por Santiago Díaz Vence de Mambo Films. En este video vemos plasmado como se intensifica la letra con su narración visual. Esta primera parte de su nuevo álbum de salsa auto titulado es producto de su formación personal y profesional. La salsa fue su primer amor desde niño y Luis se ha inspirado en muchos de los grandes que se han convertido en sus mentores. Escribió todas estas canciones en el álbum como una forma de volver a sus raíces tropicales y honrar a quienes le abrieron el camino.

Acerca de Luis Figueroa
Luis Figueroa es uno de los artistas más prometedores de esta década. Egresado del prestigioso Colegio de Música Berklee en Boston, Luis llegó a ser corista de Romeo Santos y provocó revuelo en los Premios Juventud 2016 cantando “Flor Pálida” a dúo con Marc Anthony. Fungió como invitado especial en el éxito masivo “Por Perro” (2018) con Sebastián Yatra y Lary Over, superando los 600 millones de vistas en YouTube. “As an individual who loves hard and has had their fair share of highs and lows, I wanted to make this album to explore all the complexities and dynamics of love. This first part of this all-new eponymous salsa album is a product of his personal and professional upbringing. Salsa was Luis’s first love as a child and he has been inspired by many of the greats who have become his mentors. He wrote all of these songs on the album as a way of going back to his tropical roots and honoring those who paved the way for him.
Luis Figueroa is a leading voice behind the new generation of salsa, representing a new face and sound to the Tropical movement. And as one of the new promising artists of the decade, he is receiving accolade after accolade, including a nomination for “Tropical Artist of the Year” at Premios Heat and two nominations at the 2022 Premio Lo Nuestro. Following the success of his #1 hit, “Hasta El Sol De Hoy,” the first single on the album “Todavía Te Espero” has become his third consecutive Top 10 hit on Billboard “Tropical Airplay” chart and it broke the top 50 on the all genre “Latin Airplay” chart, an incredible feat for a salsa song.
Luis will be performing in two big events this summer including the New York Salsa Festival at the Barclays Center on June 11 and at the FTX Arena in Miami on July 9. He will also be a special musical guest on the U.S. tour of El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico’s 60th Anniversary.

About Luis Figueroa
Luis Figueroa is one of the most promising artists of this decade.
