PALOMA MAMI lanza su sencillo “FOR YA”
MIAMI (2 de noviembre de 2020) – La cantante y compositora chilena Paloma Mami revela su sencillo “For Ya”. Escúchalo AQUÍ a través de Sony Music Latin.
“Cuando hablo sobre ‘For Ya’, yo simplemente digo, ‘Es toda una vibra’. Creo que mis canciones anteriores han sido un poco más rítmicas. Aunque siento que cada canción que realizo es diferente a la que vino anteriormente, ‘For Ya’ es distinta porque se trata de como alguien te hace sentir cuando estás enamorada y harías cualquier cosa por esa persona. Quería que el video también comunicara esa vibra como si estuvieras en un estado de trance, escuchando y viendo con calma, muy minimalista y cinemáticamente satisfactoria”, comenta Paloma Mami.
La artista multiplatino sube el calor en este gran tema bilingüe. Sobre arreglos frescos de sintetizadores, la cantante chilena nacida en Nueva York nos entrega letra en español cargada de emociones, para luego cambiar al inglés durante el rítmico estribillo. “For Ya” llega a su apogeo con una melodía pegajosa mientras ella canta: “Can’t control love when it comes for ya” (no puedes controlar el amor cuando llega por ti). En el video musical dirigido por The Movement y Nico Alarcos, Paloma baila sola bajo un foco brilloso, moviéndose con el compás de las percusiones. La canción cobra vida gracias a los visuales íntimos.

“When I describe ‘For Ya’ to anyone, I simply say, ‘It’s such a vibe.’ I think my past songs have been a bit more up-tempo and, although I feel every song I release is different from the ones before, ‘For Ya’ is different also because it’s about how someone makes you feel when you’re in love and you’ll do anything for them. I wanted the video to also express that same vibe and feel like you were in a trance while listening and watching without doing too much…just minimalistic and cinematically pleasing,” says Paloma Mami.
The multiplatinum New York-born Chilean star turns up the heat on this bilingual banger. Over icy synths, she delivers emotionally charged verses in Spanish before flipping over to English on the bouncy bridge. The song climaxes with an undeniable and unshakable hook as she promises, “Can’t control love when it comes for ya.” In the music video directed by The Movement and Nico Alarcos, Paloma dances solo under a bright spotlight, moving with the ebb and flow of the beat. The intimate visual brings the song to life vividly.
