MIAMI (22 de abril de 2020) – Shakira y Sony Music Entertainment hoy obtuvieron dos prestigiosos galardones en el New York Festivals® TV & Film Awards 2020 por su documental de concierto Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour. Este largometraje fue premiado con Medallas de Oro en las categorías de “Especial de Artes Escénicas” y “Evento Especial”, marcando los primeros triunfos en esta premiación para la artista global multi-platino, cantautora ganadora del GRAMMY®, y filántropa Shakira.
El documental retrata de manera personal, tras bambalinas y en las propias palabras de Shakira, el trabajo que fue necesario para realizar su monumental gira El Dorado por 22 países ante más de un millón de asistentes, luego de tener que postergarla debido a una lesión en las cuerdas vocales. Esta gira es considerada un hito en la trayectoria de Shakira y en el alcance mundial de la música latina.
En conjunto con Trafalgar Releasing, Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour se estrenó en noviembre 2019 en 2 mil salas de cine y 79 países por todo el mundo en un evento exclusivo de una sola noche. Además de crear esta experiencia compartida para sus seguidores, Shakira lanzó el disco en directo Shakira In Concert: El Dorado World Tour que se encuentra disponible ahora.

MIAMI (April 22, 2020) – Shakira and Sony Music Entertainment today received two top awards at the 2020 New York Festivals® TV & Film Awards for her concert film “Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour.” The film was recognized with gold medals in the categories of “Performing Arts Special” and “Special Event,” marking the first wins at the prestigious festival for the multi-platinum, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter, philanthropist, and global recording artist.
Uniting unforgettable performance footage and intimate behind-the-scenes vignettes of the historic El Dorado World Tour, the film provides an unfiltered look at the superstar’s return to the stage following a vocal cord injury which initially delayed the tour. The jaunt notably visited 22 countries and played to over a million fans, representing a career highlight for Shakira and a watershed moment for Latin music.
