VETUSTA MORLA se encomienda a “LA VIRGEN DE LA HUMANIDAD”
MIAMI (30 de septiembre de 2021) – “La Virgen de La Humanidad” es la nueva canción de adelanto de Cable a Tierra, el próximo álbum de estudio de Vetusta Morla que se publicará el 26 de noviembre. En palabras de la banda, “Una canción que parte de ritmos populares de este y del otro lado del Atlántico, y que tienen su origen en eso que denominamos folclórico y que muchas veces no tenemos ni idea de lo que es. Nos parecía irónico y divertido preguntarnos por cuál es nuestro folclore, si tiene que ver con nuestra tierra, con la del vecino o con lo que hemos ido escuchando durante un montón de tiempo, y cómo hemos ido construyendo falsas identidades en torno a ello. Todo ello, mezclado con lo nuevo, lo viejo y con un carácter de baile y de celebración que están presentes durante toda la canción”.
La nueva canción de Vetusta Morla cuenta para su portada con una obra original de la artista Laura Millán. El tema también se presenta con un vídeo producido por 37 Films, que ha sido dirigido por Patrick Knot, quien buscaba con esta pieza: “Contar una celebración que nos lleve a todos a la raíz, al hogar, a lo que nos ancla a tierra. Ese sentimiento de familiaridad con lo que vemos que nos recuerda a la verbena a la que fuiste con tu madre, ese amor por los tuyos, profundo y cálido. La historia de todos.”

Con “La Virgen de La Humanidad”, ya conocemos dos de las canciones que se incluirán en Cable a Tierra (Pequeño Salto Mortal, editado y distribuido bajo licencia exclusiva por Sony Music Spain), tras la reciente publicación de “Finisterre“.
El concierto de presentación de Cable a Tierra en Madrid será el 24 de junio de 2022 en el estadio Wanda Metropolitano, con aforo completo y para el que ya están a la venta las entradas en https://www.vetustamorla.com/gira/presentacion-cable-a-tierra-en-madrid/. Este concierto será un nuevo hito para Vetusta Morla y la escena musical independiente española tras su histórico show en La Caja Mágica el 23 de junio de 2018, en el que congregaron a 38.000 asistentes.
El del Wanda Metropolitano será el primer concierto de estadio de una banda de su género y en un espectáculo propio en España.
Entrust Themselves To “LA VIRGEN DE LA HUMANIDAD”
MIAMI (September 30, 2021) – “La Virgen de la Humanidad” is the lead single off Cable a Tierra, Vetusta Morla’s upcoming studio album, out on November 26th.
The band said about “La Virgen de la Humanidad”: “It is a song based on popular rhythms from the East and from the other side of the Atlantic, their origin being what we call folkloric, but we often have no idea what that really means. We thought it was fun and ironic to wonder about our own folklore, whether it has to do with our land, with the neighbor’s land or with what we have listened to for a long time, and the way we have created false identities in connection with it. All that, mixed with what is new, what is old, and adding a dance and celebration nature permeating the whole song“.
The single artwork is an original piece by the artist Laura Millán. The music video, produced by 37 films, was directed by Patrick Knot: “With this piece I wanted to show a celebration that takes us all to the roots, home, to what anchors us to the land. That sense of familiarity that takes you back in time to the street summer festival you went to with your mother as a child, the love you feel for your beloved ones, strong and warm. The story of us all.”

“La Virgen de la Humanidad” is the second single off the upcoming album Cable a Tierra (“Pequeño Salto Mortal”, released and distributed under exclusive license of Sony Music Spain), following the previous single “Finisterre“.
