The Theater at Madison Square Garden {2017}.

VICENTICO Reminds Us That Life Is Just “AHORA”

MIAMI (August 20, 2021) – Vicentico releases the official video for “Ahora 1“, latest single from his praised studio album, El Pozo Brillante.

In this new creation the artist worked together with his audiovisual partner, Facu Plaga; creating an almost minimalistic clip in which Vicentico stars alone, true to his style.

According to the director’s point of view: “Ahora is a song which contains such an elemental and simple message, that it can be considered a concept on its own. That dispossession translates into a piece which features Vicentico in a void, with his performance and message as only elements.”

Four key words -AHORA, AYER, NUNCA, SIEMPRE (NOW, YESTERDAY, NEVER, ALWAYS), are printed over the image to reinforce the central idea of the song: “…que la vida es sólo ahora” (“…that life is just now).

Vicentico is ready to go back on stage, in venues with a present audience. His much-awaited next concerts will be announced soon.

About His New Studio Album

El Pozo Brillante is Vicentico’s seventh studio album, is an invitation to break free from procrastination, and do what we always leave for later, encourage us to bring out our sensitivity and do what we want, hoping that the liberation we seek will soon come.

Vicentico’s latest album is his first solo set since Último Acto (2014). In the interim, he has released two records with Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, the concept album La Salvación de Solo y Juan (2016) and the live set En Vivo en The Theater at Madison Square Garden (2017).

The first step in this inner exploration was taken towards the end of October 2019 with the release of the celebrated single and opening video “FREAK”, which also opens the album and raises the tone of the album a bit. He continued on his way in May 2020 with the second advance “No Tengo“, the only cover included on the album, although Vicentico‘s version is – as always – very own. And he had his third advance in “Cuando Salga”, released in September of last year; Although it was written pre-pandemic, it is a topic that came as a note of hope for when all this finally ends.

El Pozo Brillante features seven other brand-new songs, including “Ahora”, the latest single, which is available in two radically different versions. The album was painstakingly recorded throughout 2019 in Buenos Aires and New York. It is produced by Vicentico and the renowned Héctor Castillo, with mixing by Castillo, along with James Brown and Tony Maserati. All of the songs besides “No Tengo” are Vicentico-written originals, and he is the sole lead vocalist on every track. However, he is accompanied by a who’s-who of world-class musicians who he considers friends – among them, Chris Bruce, Glenn Patscha, Mariano Otero, Jeff Hill, Didi Gutman, Tano Martelli, the mariachi Flor de Toloache, and Sebas Fucci.
