Un viaje por la mente del aclamado productor donde nos invita a través de la música a conocer cómo funciona su proceso creativo. El lanzamiento del nuevo álbum va acompañado por el estreno del video del tema bandera, “Jaguayuken”, junto a los ganadores de Latin GRAMMY® ChocQuibTown. El lanzamiento de su nueva producción discográfica va acompañado por el estreno del videoclip del tema bandera, “Jaguayuken”, junto al multi galardonado grupo colombiano, ChocQuibTown. El divertido video- grabado en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana bajo la dirección de Rodrigo Rodríguez- es inspirado en el video juego “Street Fighter”, de donde también nace el título del sencillo “Jaguayuken”.
Eso es Mental es un álbum doble compuesto por 23 temas, el lado A es un sonido global que nos da un vistazo al futuro y el lado B es inspirado en el “Bajo Mundo”- es el sonido que nace de las calles de República Dominicana. El nuevo álbum fue grabado en Miami, FL y República Dominicana. Acerca de la inspiración detrás del álbum MAFFIO expresó: ““Eso es Mental” es una de mis frases favoritas. La mente es poderosa y nosotros vivimos con diferentes tipos de maquinarias a nuestro alrededor, pero la verdadera maquina eres tú, todo es posible si te lo propones. Todo es mental”.
El nuevo álbum cuenta con colaboraciones de artistas de talla internacional entre los que se encuentran en el Lado A: El Chombo quien estuvo a cargo de la “Intro” y el “Interlude”; ChocQuibTown en “Jaguayuken”; Amenazzy, Noriel y Akon en “Vamo a Pescar”; Manybeat en “M.D.M.A”; CNCO y Kiko El Crazy en “TETEO”; El Jeffrey en “RD”; Darell y Don Miguelo en “Elma María”; Omar Montes y Ana Mena en “Solo”; Lola Indigo en “Se Pega”; Kymani Marley, Julian Marley y Jo Mersa Marley en “Blessings”; Lenier en “Pedazito”; Ir Sais an “Chillin”; Mariah Angeliq en “Tequila” y Baha Men en “Fire”.
En el Lado B llamado “Bajo Mundo” el artista trae los ritmos y sonoridad de la música urbana en República Dominicana e incluye colaboraciones con: Musicólogo en “To El Mundo en Actitud”; Pastor RD en “Búscame el Hilo”; La Perversa y Yomel “El Meloso” en “La Boda”; Rafa Pabön, Tato y El Pastor en “Boquilla”; J Noa en “Jordan 2”; Eix y JC La Nevula en “Dos Chapas” y “No me Falta”; Rainel en “Pasa de Pikete”; Dixson Waz y Calacote en “Mira el Humo”; Rafa Pabön y El Pastor en “Báñate”.
Cabe recalcar y siempre poniendo en alto el nombre de su país natal el renombrado productor dominicano crea lo que será el nuevo himno de República Dominicana, “RD”, con la colaboración de la leyenda del merengue dominicano, El Jeffrey. “Este es mi tema favorito del álbum y quiero que quien lo escuche sea dominicano o no lo sienta como suyo. Es un tema nostálgico desde el punto de vista de un emigrante que salió de su país buscando un futuro mejor, pero siempre añorando regresar”, expresó MAFFIO.

A journey through the mind of the acclaimed producer where he invites us through his music to get to know how his creative process works. The launch of the new album is in tandem with the premiere of the video of the focus track, “Jaguayuken,” in collaboration with Latin GRAMMY® winners ChocQuibTown. The release of his new record is accompanied by the premiere of the video of the first single, “Jaguayuken,” in collaboration with multi-award-winning Colombian group, ChocQuibTown. The fun video- recorded in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic under the direction of Rodrigo Rodríguez- is inspired by the video game “Street Fighter,” where the title of the single “Jaguayuken” also comes from.
Eso es Mental is a double album composed of 23 songs, side A is a global sound that gives us a listen of the future and side B is inspired by the “under world” it is the sound born from the streets of the Dominican Republic. The new album was recorded in Miami, FL and the Dominican Republic. About the inspiration behind the album MAFFIO said: ““Eso es Mental” is one of my favorite phrases. The mind is powerful, and we live with different types of machinery around us, but the true machine is you, everything is possible if you put your mind to it. Everything is mental.”

Always elevating his culture to the world stage, the renowned Dominican producer creates what will be the new anthem of the Dominican Republic, “RD,” with the collaboration of the legend of the Dominican merengue, El Jeffrey. “This is my favorite song of the album and I want anyone to listen to it Dominican or not to feel it as yours. It is a nostalgic song from the point of view of an emigrant who left his country looking for a better future, but always longing for returning,” explained MAFFIO.
