Este premio y la nominación para los Premios GRAMMY® sirven para confirmar la posición y el talento de una artista que no deja de acumular éxitos: “Ateo“, junto a C. Tangana; “MAFIOSA” o protagonizar la BZRP Session más escuchada de todas no son suficiente para una Nathy Peluso que cierra el año versionando uno de los clásicos de la canción española, “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR“. “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR“, la inolvidable canción que publicó Camilo Sesto en 1978 tras escribirla de su propio puño y letra que conquistó a millones de oyentes en todo el mundo y que ha inspirado a grandes artistas, es la nueva apuesta de Nathy Peluso. En una nueva exhibición de versatilidad y poderío, la seis veces nominada a los Latin GRAMMY® hace suya una composición legendaria con una versión especialmente creada para la ocasión. En palabras de la propia Nathy Peluso: “Elegí cantar ‘VIVIR ASI ES MORIR DE AMOR’ porque, después de mucho tiempo, la escuché en un momento crucial y la sentí como una revelación. Supe que tenía que traerla de vuelta, me dieron muchísimas ganas de componer arreglos alrededor de esa armonía tan identificativa, y desarrollar el personaje que se me disparó al imaginarme cantándola. Habitar una canción del pasado siempre se convierte en un ritual muy mágico lleno de sensibilidad. Quise convertirla hacia un sonido noventero, llamé a músicos muy míticos del estilo y la época, músicos que admiro que han tocado en discos que yo he estudiado muchísimo.” Revivir una canción legendaria como “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR” es todo un reto para cualquier artista. Las comparaciones con la original siempre están ahí. Imaginé el espacio, las dimensiones y las texturas, los colores, el carácter. Lo tuve muy claro desde el principio. Tangana; “MAFIOSA” and her featuring on the most streamed BZRP Session with a rendition of a Spanish music classic, “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR“. “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR” is Nathy Peluso’s new single, the unforgettable song written and released by Camilo Sesto in 1978, which has inspired great artists and captivated millions around the world. In this new versatility and power display, the six-time Latin GRAMMY®-nominated artist makes this iconic composition her own by delivering a new version created for the occasion. Nathy Peluso said: “I decided to sing ‘VIVIR ASI ES MORIR DE AMOR’ after listening to it again at a crucial time in my life, and it felt like a revelation. I instantly knew that I had to bring the song back, I felt an urge to write new arrangements around that iconic harmony and develop the character that had come to me as I imagined myself singing it. To dwell a song from the past has always become a magical ritual brimming with sensitivity. I wanted the song to have a 90’s vibe, so I called iconic musicians with the same style and from that time –artists I look up to and who’ve played on albums I have listened to once and again.” Bringing back to life a song like “VIVIR ASÍ ES MORIR DE AMOR” is a challenge for any artist.
