MIAMI (27 de octubre de 2021) – Luego de reunir más de dos millones de vistas en su presentación en NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert y su última canción “Pensamos” junto a Mon Laferte, la estrella argentina Nicki Nicole se une a Rauw Alejandro y lanzan “Sabe”, que formará parte de su segundo álbum Parte De Mi que verá la luz este jueves 28 de octubre. “Sabe” fue producida por Evlay, Mauro de Tommaso y Caleb Calloway y su video oficial dirigido por Gustavo Camacho. Nicki disfrutó mucho de trabajar con el talentoso cantante Rauw Alejandro:“Grabar ‘Sabe’ con Rauw fue increíble. Por suerte nos pudimos reunir en el estudio, y todo se sintió suave y orgánico. Él es súper talentoso y amable, hablamos y decidimos hacia donde queríamos ir musicalmente y la canción salió genial”. Este tema es el último adelanto antes del lanzamiento de su segundo álbum Parte De Mi. “Después de este año de toda soledad para varios, quería aprovechar este álbum para reconectar y recordarnos que todos somos parte de todos”, Nicki afirma. “Quiero que mi público se sienta tan ‘Parte De Mi’ como yo parte de ellos. Somos la suma de momentos, personas, lugares, miradas, risas…todas las cosas que nos unen y nos hacen quienes somos. Quería que este álbum sea tan mío como del público, que se puedan sentir identificados con las canciones y las sientan tan propias como yo las siento. Ellos son en gran parte la razón por la que estoy donde estoy”.“Me encantó colaborar con Nicki en este sencillo ‘Sabe.’ Tuvimos la oportunidad de grabar el video en Miami en juntos y lo disfruté mucho” expresó Rauw Alejandro. La portada de Parte De Mi es un diseño basado en un rompecabezas: “Creo que la tapa es una buena representación de los seres humanos, demostrando que todos somos la suma de fragmentos, recortes, partes”, Nicki asegura. “Nos gustaba jugar con la idea de un rompecabezas para demostrar que sea en el orden que sea, todos somos el total de varias cositas que nos completan y nos hacen quienes somos”.Nicki adelantó su álbum en Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, realizada por la red estadounidense de radio NPR y donde participaron artistas de gran reconocimiento como Sting, Adele y Coldplay. Esta actuación muestra la infinita versatilidad de Nicki y destaca otra faceta expresiva de su voz y la profundidad de su musicalidad. El video incluye nuevos arreglos acústicos para su emblemático éxito “Colocao” al igual que su sencillo debut “Wapo Trakatero”. La segunda parte del clip nos deleita con su interpretación de “Parte De Mi”, canción que da nombre a su próximo álbum, acompañada por un cuarteto de cuerdas. Además, Nicki volvió a sus raíces rapeando una improvisación al estilo libre. Para cerrar el concierto, interpretó el sencillo “Baby”. El pasado mes, Nicki fue nominada al Latin GRAMMY® 2021 en la categoría de “Mejor Canción Alternativa” por “Venganza”, su colaboración con los rockeros uruguayos de No Te Va Gustar. MIAMI (October 27, 2021) – After garnering more than two million views on her NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert and the release of her latest song “Pensamos“ with Mon Laferte, Argentine star Nicki Nicole joins forces with Rauw Alejandro to release “Sabe.” The single will be part of her second album “Parte De Mi” to be released this Thursday, October 28.
“Sabe” was produced by Evlay, Mauro de Tommaso and Caleb Calloway and its official video directed by Gustavo Camacho.
Nicki really enjoyed working with the talented Rauw Alejandro: “Recording ‘Sabe’ with Rauw was incredible,” Nicki says. “Luckily we were able to get together in the studio, and everything felt smooth and organic. He is super talented and kind, we talked and decided where we wanted to go musically and the song turned out great.”
“Sabe” is the final single in advance of the release of Nicki’s sophomore album Parte De Mi. “After a year of isolation, I wanted to use this album to reconnect and remind everyone that we are all a part of each other,” Nicki explains. “I want my fans to feel as much a part of me as I do of them. We are the sum of moments, people, places, gazes, laughter. All things that unite us and make us who we are. I wanted this album to belong to the listeners just as much as it does to me. They are a major part of why I am where I am.”
“I loved collaborating with Nicki on this single ‘Sabe.’ We had the opportunity to shoot the video in Miami together and I really enjoyed it,” said Rauw Alejandro.
The Parte De Mi album art is a design based on a puzzle. “I think the cover art is a representation of humans,” Nicki shares. “Showing how all of us are the sum of fragments, clippings, parts. We liked playing with the idea of a jigsaw puzzle demonstrating that no matter how it’s put together, we are all the product of various things that complete us and make us who we are.”
Nicki advanced her album Parte De Mi in her presentation at Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, carried out by the American radio network NPR and where well-known artists such as Sting, Adele and Coldplay participated. This performance shows the infinite versatility of Nicki and highlights another expressive facet of her voice and the depth of her musicality. The video includes new acoustic arrangements for her iconic hit “Colocao” as well as her debut single “Wapo Trakatero.” The second part of her clip delights us with her interpretation of “Parte De Mi,” the song that gives its name to her next album, accompanied by a string quartet. Also, Nicki went back to her roots by rapping a freestyle improv. To close the concert, she performed the single “Baby.”
Last month, Nicki was nominated for “Best Rock Song” at the 22nd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® with “Venganza,” her collaboration with Uruguayan rockers No Te Va Gustar. This follows her 2020 Latin GRAMMY nomination for “Best New Artist.”
Earlier this spring, Nicki performed “No Toque Mi Naik (feat. Lunay)” on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She was the first Argentine artist to perform on the acclaimed TV show. Her viral remix for Rochy RD’s “Ella No Es Tuya” was featured on President Obama’s “2021 Summer Playlist” and now has more than 500 million total streams.
