PALOMA MAMI se convierte en heroína de videojuego en su nuevo sencillo y video “GOTEO”
MIAMI (1 de mayo de 2020) – La cantante chilena Paloma Mami estrena su nuevo sencillo y video “Goteo”, tema que formará parte de su muy anticipado álbum debut.
Paloma Mami nos intriga con un video musical que la convierte en heroína de videojuego de lucha callejera. “Mi parte favorita del proceso es crear ideas para los videos musicales. Para ‘Goteo’, cuando escuché la mezcla final, por alguna razón imaginé un videojuego y dando golpes de karate. Me pareció una canción apta para un videojuego de acción, entonces contactamos a The Movement, una compañía productora de Argentina con quien he trabajado anteriormente con éxito, así que sabía que podía tenerle confianza con mi propuesta. ¡Y así cobró vida! Tuve que sudar dentro de un traje de látex, tuve bastantes ‘fallas técnicas de vestuario’, dos días de ensayos, para luego en el video pelear contra un luchador de WWE, un experto en artes marciales y uno en taekwondo, y sin embargo The Movement me hizo lucir como la más cool de todos”.
De la autoría de Paloma Mami y El Guincho, quien también funge como productor, “Goteo” fusiona ritmos urbanos con sonidos futuristas.
Paloma Mami explica que el título tiene dos significados interesantes: “La propuesta musical de esta canción es algo que yo había querido realizar desde hace tiempo, e intenté llevarla a cabo en otras canciones pero no funcionó, ja. Pero en el momento que escuché los arreglos de Guincho y su sonido que me recordaban a gotas de agua, sabía que ese tenía que ser el concepto de ‘Goteo’. El título se refiere a la calidad humana de tener frescura, de tener magnetismo, y este tema tiene mucho de eso y un nuevo sonido fresco, así que ¡el título le queda perfecto!”
Desde su debut a finales del 2017, nos ha deleitado con canciones originales incluyendo “Not Steady” que cuenta con más de 74 millones de reproducciones. Paloma Mami también ha obtenido dos discos de Doble Platino con “No Te Enamores” (111 millones de views) y “Fingías” (77 millones). Mientras tanto, “Don’t Talk About Me” y “Mami” son acreedores al Disco de Oro.
Recientemente, Paloma concluyó su primera gira por Estados Unidos y actualmente se encuentra trabajando en su disco debut.
PALOMA MAMI Transforms Into A Video-Game Hero On Her New Single And Video “GOTEO”
MIAMI (May 1st, 2020) – Chilean singer-songwriter Paloma Mami releases “Goteo” (Drip), her sixth solo single off her highly anticipated album.
Paloma Mami intrigues us with a music video that casts her as a street-fighting video-game hero: “My favorite part is always creating the ideas for music videos. For ‘Goteo’ when I heard the finished track I don’t know why the only thing I imagined was a video game, and karate-chopping people. It was like a perfect theme song to an action video game, so we reached out to The Movement, an Argentinian production company I’ve worked with before, and I loved how the project turned out, so I knew I could trust them with my idea. Just like that, they made it all come to life! Had a bunch of wardrobe malfunctions, dripping sweat in a latex suit, two days of rehearsals, fighting with a WWE wrestler, an expert in martial arts and tai kwon do, and of course The Movement made me look like the coolest of them all.”
Written by Paloma Mami and the song’s producer El Guincho, “Goteo” fuses urban rhythms with futuristic sounds.
Paloma Mami explains that the song’s title has two interesting meanings: “I kind of had this concept for a song that I wanted to do for a while and I would try to execute it in other songs but it never really worked out, haha. But as soon as I heard Guincho play the track with it having a sound that reminded me of water dripping, I knew it was meant to be for the concept of ‘Goteo.’ Goteo basically means how fly, fresh someone is and the track was super super fly and a fresh new sound, so it fit perfect!”
Since her debut in 2017, with her single “Not Steady” which garnered over 74 million video views Paloma Mami has earned two double platinum certifications, with “No Te Enamores” (Don’t Fall in Love) (111 million views) and “Fingías” (You Pretended) (77 million views), while “Don’t Talk About Me” and “Mami” are both certified Gold.
Recently Paloma wrapped up her first sold out US tour and is currently working on her debut album.
