RÍO ROMA junto a CALIBRE 50 lanzan su colaboración romántica que une géneros musicales “TÚ ERES MI AMOR”
Con un papel estelar de la actriz Sandra Echeverría, el nuevo video de Río Roma nos trae al dúo volviendo a sus raíces gruperas acompañados por Calibre 50.
MIAMI (28 de mayo de 2021) – “El regional mexicano es un género con el que también crecimos y aprendimos a cantar”, cuenta José Luis Roma al hablar sobre “Tú Eres Mi Amor” el nuevo sencillo que reúne a Río Roma con la exitosa agrupación Calibre 50, una canción con la que el dúo regresa a sus orígenes y nos invita a sacar el tequila y a pensar en el amor de nuestras vidas. “Nosotros crecimos escuchando a Javier Solís, Vicente Fernández, Marco Antonio Solís y Los Tigres del Norte… Es la música que llevamos en el alma y nosotros, aunque estamos en el pop, nunca hemos dejado de llevar un pie dentro del regional mexicano”.
Escrita por José Luis Roma y Edén Muñoz, líder y cantante de Calibre 50, “Tú Eres Mi Amor” es una canción para dedicar. Es de esas letras que nacieron para unir enamorados, como para agarrar valor y declararte a la persona con la que quieres pasar la vida entera al ritmo de la nueva balada grupera de estas dos fuerzas musicales. Una colaboración que regresa y ahonda en las raíces gruperas de Río Roma.
Sobre la convivencia del pop y el regional Edén Muñoz (líder de Calibre 50) comenta: “Los dos géneros son más cercanos de lo que se cree. Nosotros también crecimos con el pop y ha habido varias canciones de regional que se han convertido al pop y viceversa. A final de cuentas estamos en la misma tierra. Creo que por eso es interesante esta fusión; porque a pesar de que son diferentes matices de voces, el corazón es el mismo”, esto sin dejar de anotar el romanticismo que deja sentir su sello en este conmovedor tema.
La creatividad estará muy presente en este nuevo viaje. Los chicos de Rio Roma han explorado formatos creados a partir de técnicas muy innovadoras y atractivas que podrán disfrutar tanto los jóvenes como los mayores.
Con un video protagonizado por la actriz Sandra Echeverría, “Tú Eres Mi Amor” corona una amistad que a pesar de no ser muy pública lleva ya varios años reuniendo a las dos agrupaciones en pequeñas bohemias y algunos eventos previos al mayo del 2020 en que empezó a construirse la canción. Esto abonó a que se haya trabajado a la distancia de una manera muy orgánica que permitió que el track creciera a una espectacular versión norteña producida por el mismo Muñoz junto a Jesús Tirado y en su contraparte pop que hace sentir a Calibre 50 de una forma diferente para sus seguidores.
Esto es parte de la celebración de los primeros 10 años de Río Roma, agrupación que este 2021 lanzó su muy esperado Rojo, un álbum que ya anunciaba de alguna manera la colaboración, luego de incluir el track en banda de “Yo Te Prefiero a Ti” junto a Yuridia y La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas. Por su parte, Calibre 50 lanzó a principios de año su álbum Vamos Bien y un cover en vivo del éxito de OV7 “Te Quiero Tanto, Tanto”.

MIAMI (May 28, 2021) – Today, the romantic Mexican pop duo Río Roma teams up with the powerhouse Regional Mexican quartet Calibre 50 to release the single and video “Tú Eres Mi Amor” (You Are My Love).
As Río Roma co-founder José Luis Roma recalls, “We grew up with Regional Mexican music and learned to sing it right.”
With “Tú Eres Mi Amor,” the brother duo returns to its roots and invites us to sip a tequila as we reminisce about the love of our life. José Luis adds, “We were raised on artists like Javier Solís, Vicente Fernández, Marco Antonio Solís and Los Tigres del Norte. We carry that music in our soul. Although we are a pop group, we have always kept one foot in Regional Mexican.”
Written by José Luis Roma and Edén Muñoz, the leader and vocalist of Calibre 50, “Tú Eres Mi Amor” is a song meant to be dedicated. Its lyrics are perfect for bringing lovers together and for giving us the courage to confess our true feelings of lifelong commitment, to the rhythm of a grupero-styled ballad from these two expert artists. This song is nourished by Río Roma’s vast knowledge of the genre.
Speaking about the uniting of pop and Regional Mexican styles, Edén Muñoz observes: “The two genres are closer than you think. We also grew up exposed to pop. Many Regional Mexican songs have been covered pop style, and vice versa. In the end, we’re all on the same playing field. I think that’s why this fusion is interesting; because while our vocals have different nuances, the heart is one and the same.” He also makes special mention of the romanticism that leaves its stamp on this moving track.
Creativity is front and center on this fascinating collaboration. Río Roma explores formats created by innovative and attractive techniques that appeal to music-lovers of all ages.
Starring the renowned Mexican actress Sandra Echeverría, the music video of “Tú Eres Mi Amor” publicizes the two group’s friendship which many will be surprised to learn has been developing for years during informal jam sessions and other events. They finally set out to write this song in May 2020. Working remotely, the track came together very naturally in a norteño version produced by Muñoz and Jesús Tirado, as well as a pop counterpart that puts a new spin on Calibre 50 for its followers.
This release is part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations for Río Roma, who earlier this year released their album Rojo (Red), which foreshadowed this type of fusion with its banda track “Yo Te Prefiero a Ti” (I Prefer You) with Yuridia and La Adictiva Banda San José de Mesillas. Meanwhile, Calibre 50 earlier this year released its album Vamos Bien (We’re Going Well) and a live cover of the 1990s pop hit by OV7 “Te Quiero Tanto, Tanto” (I Love You So, So Much).
