CARLOS RIVERA & SAVE THE CHILDREN unen fuerzas con “YA PASARÁ” para apoyar los más vulnerables frente a la pandemia a causa del COVID-19
Carlos Rivera y Save the Children lograrán llegar a 100 mil niños que más lo necesiten.
MIAMI (1 de junio, 2020) – Uniendo esfuerzos en la lucha contra el COVID-19, Carlos Rivera y la organización internacional Save the Children presentan “Ya Pasará”, una emotiva canción, que se estrena este viernes y cuyos ingresos serán destinados al 100% para apoyar a las niñas y niños más vulnerables frente a la pandemia.
“Ya Pasará” es un tema compuesto por Carlos Rivera y Jules Ramllano, producido por Pablo Cebrián, que nace con la intención de dar un mensaje de esperanza y unión ante la emergencia sanitaria, social y económica de carácter mundial. La canción, que cuenta con un video lyric y ya se encuentra en todas las plataformas digitales, habla de la resiliencia, como capacidad para superar cualquier problema y comenzar de nuevo más fuertes.
“La mejor esperanza que podemos tener cuando hay una crisis es que todo pasa tarde o temprano”, comentó el cantautor, quien en conjunto con Sony Music México, buscaron la manera de apoyar y unirse con Save the Children para donar los ingresos totales que genere la casa discográfica y el artista.
Carlos Rivera agradeció a Jules Ramllano, coautor del tema, su casa disquera Sony Music México, Sony ATV y Huamasongs Publishing por haberse sumado a la causa, donar su trabajo e ingresos.
Próximamente, “Ya Pasará” contará con un video oficial en el que se recabaron videos enviados por fans de todo el mundo, que han seguido la carrera del cantante mexicano y lo apoyan en este movimiento altruista.
Con estas acciones no sólo se logrará apoyar a niñas y niños que son más vulnerables y que han quedado en mayor desventaja debido a la reducción de ingreso o pérdida de los trabajos de sus papás o mamás. También, se estará contribuyendo en generar acciones para asegurar que la niñez mantenga una nutrición sana, salud emocional y tengan acceso a elementos de higiene con el fin de reducir las posibilidades de contagio del COVID-19, de acuerdo al programa de respuesta humanitaria que implementó Save the Children.
CONTEXTO GENERAL DE NIÑAS Y NIÑOS VULNERABLES EN MÉXICO
En México, más de 5 millones de niñas y niños no tiene acceso a servicios de salud; más de 9 millones carecen de servicios básicos en sus viviendas; y se estima que al menos 10 millones no tienen acceso a una alimentación suficiente, cifras que podrían agravarse ante la inminente disminución del ingreso económico de las familias más vulnerables.
Por otro lado, el impacto del cierre de escuelas, además de afectar a la educación, trae consigo múltiples riesgos para la niñez, puesto que 6 de cada 10 niñas y niños son criados con métodos violentos que incluyen castigo físico y agresión psicológica. Además, para muchas niñas y adolescentes su propio hogar es el principal espacio de riesgo, ya que más del 80% de las mujeres de 15 años y más sufrieron abuso sexual durante su infancia, la mayoría por parte de un familiar.
Esto también significa que niñas y niños tendrán nuevos roles que pueden obstaculizar sus derechos al aprendizaje, al juego, al descanso, entre los que destacan asumir la responsabilidad de cuidar a sus familiares enfermos, encargarse de las tareas del hogar o trabajar en el comercio informal. Asimismo, en un contexto como este, se exacerban las desigualdades de género ya preexistentes, por ejemplo, las mujeres y las niñas suelen tener mayores cargas en tareas del hogar y de cuidado de otros familiares cuando están enfermos o incluso si están sanos.
Es así que la posible mayor exposición a estas violencias, conjugado con la alteración de la rutina diaria que contempla espacios de aprendizaje y juego, pueden tener serios impactos en la salud física y mental de niñas y niños. Por estas razones, es necesario identificar los peligros, y establecer medidas multisectoriales durante y después de la contingencia sanitaria, que ayuden a evitarlos y/o mitigarlos.
Las niñas y niños que viven en situaciones de marginación y exclusión estarán más expuestos a vivir las afectaciones anteriormente descritas, por lo que resulta necesario redoblar esfuerzos para no permitir que la pandemia agrave aún más las condiciones de desigualdad en las que viven.
Asimismo, las precarias condiciones de higiene y salubridad en la que se encuentran muchas niñas, niños y adolescentes en contextos migratorios o de desplazamiento, en centros de asistencia social, centros de justicia juvenil y otros centros de detención, los expone a un mayor riesgo de sufrir afectaciones a su salud derivados del COVID 19.

Carlos Rivera and Save The Children will help 100 thousand children who are most in need
MIAMI (June 1, 2020) – Joining efforts in the fight against COVID-19, Carlos Rivera and the international Save The Children organization present “Ya Pasará”, a moving song to be released this Friday. All money raised will be used to support the girls and boys who are the most vulnerable to this pandemic.
“Ya Pasará” is a track written by Carlos Rivera and Jules Ramllano and produced by Pablo Cebrián that is brought to life for the purpose of sending a message of hope and togetherness in the face of this worldwide health, social and economic worldwide emergency. The song in its lyric video format is available on digital platforms. It talks of resilience as providing the capacity to overcome any problem and start over, renewed and stronger.
“The greatest hope that we can have in a crisis is that sooner or later it will be over,” says the singer-songwriter who, in collaboration with Sony Music México, sought for a way to support and join forces with Save The Children to donate total proceeds generated by the record company and the artist.
Carlos Rivera thanked Jules Ramllano, who co-wrote the song, his record label Sony Music México, Sony ATV and Huamasongs Publishing for having come aboard and donated their work and proceeds.
In the near future, “Ya Pasará” will be accompanied by an official compilation of personal videos sent in by fans from all over the world who have followed the Mexican singer’s career and want to support him in this altruistic enterprise.
But this initiative will not only support the most vulnerable girls and boys who have been left seriously disadvantaged by a loss of their parents’ income or livelihood, it will also help by inspiring other initiatives to ensure that children can still follow a healthy diet, be emotionally stable, and have access to healthcare to reduce the possibility of contracting COVID-19.
Furthermore, sales of the song will help support the organization’s humanitarian response program during 2020 and the coming years in the development programs that Save the Children implements.
THE GENERAL CONTEXT OF VULNERABLE GIRLS AND BOYS IN MEXICO
In México, over 5 million girls and boys have no access to health services; more than 9 million lack basic services in their homes; and it is estimated that at least 10 million do not have enough to eat. These figures could become worse due to the imminent reductions in earnings faced by most vulnerable families.
Furthermore, the impact of closed schools, in addition to affecting their education, brings a multitude of risks for children given that 6 of every 10 girls and boys are raised in a violent home environment where physical punishment and psychological aggression are commonplace. Moreover, for many girls and adolescents their own home is the riskiest place for them to be since more than 80% of women over the age of 14 were subjected to sexual abuse during their childhood, for the most part inflicted by a member of their family.
This also means that girls and boys will have to assume new roles that may hinder their rights to receive an education, to play and to rest, including having to take on the responsibility of looking after sick relative, do housework or some kind of informal job in the streets. Also, in a context like this, pre-existing gender inequalities become exaggerated; for instance, women and girls often have to do more housework and look after their relatives when they are sick, or even when they are healthy.
What this means is that greater exposure to violence in all of these manifestations, combined with an alteration to the daily routine in terms of opportunities to learn and play, may have seriously adverse impacts on the physical and mental health of girls and boys. For these reasons, it is necessary to identify the dangers and take multi-sectorial measures both during and after the health crisis that help prevent these risks and/or mitigate their severity.
Girls and boys who live in situations of marginalization and exclusion will be more likely to experience the aforementioned effects, which makes it even more necessary to intensify our efforts to prevent the pandemic from making the conditions of inequality they live in even worse.
Additionally, the precarious conditions of hygiene and health experienced by many girls, boys and adolescents in migratory contexts or when displaced to social welfare centers, juvenile justice and other detention centers expose them to greater health risks from COVID 19.
